@SonicReboot Okay, I'm not going to argue extensively over a game I barely know. You make a good point, thought the music was pretty good too, from what I've heard (for a videogame). I even used the "his world" song for one of my smash bros videos. I thought that song was awesome, but I can see how someone would get annoyed with it after a while.

So I think outside Eggmans overall design (Modeling, animation, AND voicing on him are fantastic, just not the idea of him being realistic, ESPECIALLY if they are having Anthropormorphic hedgehogs running around), we have the exact same opinions xD

I find all the trailers, CGI, and cutscene work awesome in Direction, and out of context, are great.

But thats all they focused on. Gameplay, Story, design, blech. It is ALL unfinished/bad. But the cutscene's (outside of the Voicing) is all great. Music is amazing in the cutscenes, but sound bad in levels.

Animation is good in Cutscenes, but bad in Gameplay.

I feel they focused to much on the artsy stuff and made the core game bad, and seeming super unfinished.

Of course Gaming is an Art.

But It should be judged WAY different then films.

This Game has fantastic CGI work. But CGI isn't big in games for a reason. You wouldn't judge a game by the CGI trailer right?

Its the fact the Gameplay, story, and design are all TERRIBLE that makes this game bad.

If the CGI cutscene's are enough to be a 10/10 in your book, be my guest.

I am just like you. I appreciate good art. But part of Appreciation is knowing WHATS art, and what is bad

@SonicReboot I would think the gameplay would be the most important part of the game. If the gameplay is good, then what else is needed. (But of course everything else is desirable)

1. The cutscene itself was nice. Heck one of the takes, I claim it's as good as Pixar.

2. Eggman was and always is a cartoon character. Like the rest of the series. Making him realistic, was stupid and pointless.

3. If i recall, these are video games, So Gameplay is one of the largest parts of it. So it being amazing is well, the best thing ever. And the art style was reminiscent of the Gensis games, so Nostalgia for those old fans

Thanks for not noticing me saying it was a badass cut scene when I first started talking about it. The comparison between the Bowser and Eggman was to show that even though they have been updated visually, they have always stayed consistent. In here, they entirely changed it beyond recognizable standards. Also, Critics help. Considering how "bashing" is how developers learn what we want.

Who wanted the Werehog? No one. So they took it out for Colors and made it amazing. <3 Critics

How am I a hypocrite? And when have I ever said that the reason the fan base was bad was because they "Love or hate" things. The only time I even mentioned the fan base was when I said that all they do is raise expectations to high.

It isn't critics faults for the companies loss of direction, its just simple experimentation of different styles that failed. I actually praise them for not sticking to the same formula. They just don't do it well.
