  • Awsome catch. My lakie border cross yaps like that when he is chasing. He rarely catches though the staff catches as she is much faster but she holds them till he catches up and does the kill. Good job you had the camera as that was one of those extremely rare times the rabbit comes towards you instead of away.

  • is that a staffy that catches the rabbit ? lol ive never seen a working staffy before lol

  • Shes a staffy cross.

  • If you feel so sorry for the rabbit why watch a video where it plainly states the dogs are rabbiting?

  • well said m8

  • Why do people do that? Can't help having a look and then moan! Awesome catch.

  • poor rabbit

  • I Know it is just their nature, but the poor rabbit was crying it's head off, was it a baby one, cos that would be very unfair

  • No it was not a baby rabbit, it was a fully grown adult caught in wintertime. Rabbits do cry out when they are being chased or caught, its nature. If you have ever watched a stoat hunting dowh and chasing a rabbit you will know what I mean, the rabbit will often scream out during the chase because it knows it has little chance of escape.

  • get in there!!!!

  • this is a fantastic video! they caught that rabbit right smack in front of you. that was amazing

i've never seen bull terriers hunting rabbits before.

  • you have good dogs there my border cannot catch the rabbits out in the open it has to be in the hedges

  • way awesome!!!

  • i have a patterdale and a border, the border is great but the patterdale would worry/kill sheep if he got the chance. How do you control them in and around livestock?

  • Hi Johnny, you have to spend time with them as a young pup getting them used to sheep, every time they put their ears up and run forwards towards the sheep or show any sign of wanting to chase them, I say NO and give a tug on the lead. Once the pup is not bothered by the sheep, I walk them off the lead through them and around them, I keep doing this as the pup gets older so that eventually it ignores the sheep. Hope this helps.

  • do the border terrier and the staffy cross get on ok

  • Yeah they get along great!

  • Holy that is crazy! But cool

  • cracking dogs you got there

  • What is the actual point of killing rabbits? Do you eat them? :0S

  • yeh we breed them. we did have three but 1 got run over last year.

  • Sorry to hear that :-(

  • top class!! i have 2 border terriers!
