I would've expected Jonathan Frakes to have appreciated what Thunderbirds was all about. He's an awesome director but completely missed the mark on this. When we watched these things as 5 year olds, it seemed as real as could be! Why change it up and make it about doofy kids? TBAG was an embarrassing waste of a franchise.

I wish they would do a sequel. I watched th series as a child with my father. It was so ahead of its time. The movie was not bad, it was very oriented to teenagers but I agree that it does grow on you. Just make a sequel that is a little moe adult and keep the same cast.  the action and special effects were very good. Hopefully Gerry Anderson will endorse the next one if it ever happens.

Agree with a lot of the comments, any actual fan of thunderbirds- I'm no expert but I watched the repeats as a kid- knows that it does tend to be Scott and Vergil doing a lot of the rescuing and Geoff (sp?) is an old guy who as far as I know, isn't seen piloting a thunderbird. If they took it a bit more seriously- like how the OS was, with the care put into the puppets it could have been awesome. This trailer def. better.

Well, here's the doozie - the movie is set in 2020... but the US cinema trailer (which I lifted that clip from) made out it was set in 2010...! Says it all really...

That was Damm good work! Did you rework all the sound from a trailer or elsewhere? With a few tweaks you could fool most people with this.

Thank you for the kind words! I reworked all the sound completely from WAV and MP3 samples I sourced from the internet, then mixed them though Cool Edit Pro, and then used Adobe Premiere to edit the visuals and new sound together. It's a bit rough because my PC isn't really cut out for rendering either sound or video and it was a first attempt.

The Thunderbirds movie was terrrible. If you havent seen it yet, dont bother. Watch the original series by Gerry Anderson, and the Thunderbirds movies he made, they still stand up. They are mesmerising.

Gareth has done a somewhat sound job here for inspiration with an otherwise crappy film viewing. Everything about 'Commander Riker's' film was a complete mess. I scored it -50/10. He plunged his wife in the film as an ugly geek, sponged off the films budget for a quick pay day & ran! The man was highly disrepectful to both himself and to Mr Anderson including all TB's loyal fan base!

Lovin the trailer, this is how it really should of been. as for a second movie, well u never know ive tried stabs at making a full episode since i was 13, my current one is on hold at the moment while i make another movie, EDF but due to all the support i got i think its safe to say that there is alot of intrest alive in the series and the movie would not stop people from going to see another one.

Sadly given how huge the loss was on this film for Working Title, I doubt they'd find Universal, or anyone else, willing to stump up the money for the budget. Have a look at Box Office Mojo to see how bad the domestic US gross was...

There will never ever be a sequel to the Thunderbirds movie, due to the extremely poor box office of the first.
