Skoda Yeti vs. VW Tiguan: Gleicher Motor, große Unterschiede

I bought a Yeti 1.2 TSI last week. Its a dream car compared to my old Peugeot 308 SW. Yeti is here to stay and outperform Qashqai, Sportage, IX35, ASX and CR-V seven days a week (i've driven them all). Tiguan is big brother and could be an alternative. More expensive though. TopGear (UK) came to the same conclusion :-)

@LonqEs 201 km/h geht der Tiguan mit 170 PS als TDI. 240 ist eine extreme Tachabweichung und fern ab der Realität. Mit GPS kommt da allerhöchstens 210 km/h bei raus. Und selbst dann steht das Ding schon gut im Futter. Außerdem ist im Gelände der Yeti besser, da er kürzere Überhänge hat und etwas leichter ist. Der Tigaun kann nur 3 Dinge besser: Materialen, Komfort und Ausstattung. Sonst ist der Yeti das günstigere, flexiblere, sportlichere Auto.

@Peytl ok, excuse accepted, you don´t have to love German language at all, as it´s a quite harsh sounding language. As a German speaking Austrian ("Rakousko" in your language) I like languages like Italian or French, they sound much more harmounious. In fact Czech is also quite a difficult and harsh sounding language, but I like the cultural wealth of your country. Anyway , dobry den sousedni!

@bergfex35 I really dont like harsh sound and making fukin-long words from another words.. :) and historic reason is that Germans wanted to Germanize czech people in past (delete cz language at all, remove cz sings, speakin at school, make german administrative lang. etc..) I know that majority of cz famous writers wrote their pieces in german lang in past, but its not my cup of tea.. Iam learnin english and francais for years..

@Peytl I can understand you well even despite the fact that my mothers German speaking parents had to leave Ceske Budejovice in 1945 together with their children . No language or culture in the whole world is "superior" to the other, and that was what the Nazis thought and did to Czech people and other people in Europe. I also studied English and French at school. English is getting the world´s second language and that´s cool, so we can communicate across different mother tongues... Dobry den!

VW is a German car and SKODA a Czech car, so which problems do you have with German speaking people?

@Peytl The guy in the car was saying that the motoric situation of Skoda-Yeti was worse than the one of VW -Tiguan, as the Skoda seems to be weaker than the VW Tiguan.

But retourning to your opinion of Germans, did not some of your Czech people do the same what you are suggesting to mostly innocent Germans about 66 years ago? Of course there were atrocities of Germans in your country before by Nazi occupation. But don´t you think your comment disqualifies you in a united Europe??
