The Bush administration had already made plans to invade Afghanistan long before 911. John Marcesca of UNOCAL went before Congress and insisted that the Afghanistan government had to be replaced before they could ever think about starting construction on a pipeline there. UNOCAL and Bush made an offer to the Taliban to take over rights to the pipeline, before 911. The Taliban pretty much told them to go get screwed. After 911, the former UNOCAL yocal, Karzai, became pres of Afghanistan.
What I just pointed out may seem like a coincidence as far as any U.S. government participation in 911 goes, but this doesn't even scratch the surface of events that took place before-hand that would support the idea. People can label them all as "coincidences" but after so many "coincidences" become tied to the same event, they become more than "just coincidence."
Our "reasoning" for invading Afghanistan, that was fed to the world, was that the Taliban wouldn't hand over Bin Laden. And technically, they had good reason not to. By international law, evidence must be presented before a "criminal" can be extradited by one nation to another. The Afghanistan government informed the U.S. they would hand over Bin Laden when the U.S. provided this evidence. The U.S. had no such evidence.
People have been sent to prison/death row on less evidence.

Iraq DIDN'T have anything to do with 9/11. The U.S invaded Iraq because of their nuclear program Iraq was told to shut down many times. Iraq DID have nukes because Saddam Hussein used them against Iran. Saddam knows that such an unstable country with nukes is a huge threat to not only us, but the world. The Bush administration had already made plans to invade Afghanistan long before 911. John Marcesca of UNOCAL went before Congress and insisted that the Afghanistan government had to be replaced before they could ever think about starting construction on a pipeline there. UNOCAL and Bush made an offer to the Taliban to take over rights to the pipeline, before 911. The Taliban pretty much told them to go get screwed. After 911, the former UNOCAL yocal, Karzai, became pres of Afghanistan.

What I just pointed out may seem like a coincidence as far as any U.S. government participation in 911 goes, but this doesn't even scratch the surface of events that took place before-hand that would support the idea. People can label them all as "coincidences" but after so many "coincidences" become tied to the same event, they become more than "just coincidence."

Our "reasoning" for invading Afghanistan, that was fed to the world, was that the Taliban wouldn't hand over Bin Laden. And technically, they had good reason not to. By international law, evidence must be presented before a "criminal" can be extradited by one nation to another. The Afghanistan government informed the U.S. they would hand over Bin Laden when the U.S. provided this evidence. The U.S. had no such evidence.
People have been sent to prison/death row on less evidence.

The US invasions of Iraq, and Afagan. have nothing at all to do with 'helping people', democracy, or any other BS claimed by the US gov. Its just in keeping with US geo-political grand stratergy, which requires the subversion and or destruction of any dominent regional power, or coalition of powers. beautiful song but what almost everyone but those with a first hand experience miss is how the lives of those in Iraq and Afghanistan have improved. the heavily liberal media shelters us from that. We have done great things for these people and most of them love us for it. Those that fight us will never stop. if we stop fighting there, they will bring the fight to us here. That line is actually in reference to the immediate aftermath of 9/11, when the world was indeed on our side. I believe it was the president of France who said "We are all Americans today," and the people of Tehran even gathered in the streets in a show of support for our country. And Bush repaid that compassion by labeling their country as part of the "axis of evil." The world was against the war, absolutely...

The song is not anti-troops. It's anti-war, and it's directed at the president whose lies needlessly put our troops in harm's way. The same president who stood publicly in early 2004 (at the Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner), after his illegal invasion had already killed several hundred American troops and thousands of innocent Iraqis, and actually joked about not being able to find the mythical WMD that he said made his war of choice necessary. we went to war because Sadam wouldn't let american inspectors search facilities for nuclear weapons. we didn't find any because it took us 14 years to make up our minds to invade Iraq.

Congress based the vote to "authorize" Bush's use force on the edited version of the NIE, from which the conclusion that Saddam did not pose an imminent threat had been removed. No threat. 1 million-plus dead. 5 million displaced. $12 billion per month going on our tab. Millons more who hate us. Tell me what the point is.

There was no intent to diminish the service of all the daughters. Absolutely not. Sorry that you got that impression. This is just the way the song came out as I was writing it. The loss of a daughter in war is certainly no less devastating than the loss of a son. Especially when they were all sent there on a mountain of carefully crafted and endlessly repeated lies, served up by the most corrupt, criminal presidential administration this country has ever seen. We must have justice.

Iraq DIDN'T have anything to do with 9/11. The U.S invaded Iraq because of their nuclear program Iraq was told to shut down many times. Iraq DID have nukes because Saddam Hussein used them against Iran. Saddam knows that such an unstable country with nukes is a huge threat to not only us, but the world. So what was to stop Saddam Hussein from funding a nuclear war against the US?

Really? Iraq had nukes? In 2002-2003? I guess you should have been working with the UN weapons inspectors. You could have showed them where they were. Beacuse as of early March 2003 (when the Pretender-in-Chief yanked them out so he could start bombing and start calling himself a "war president") they had found nothing. Perhaps if you could stop regurgitating the Bushco propaganda just long enough to do some honest homework, you would discover how this fact has been extensively documented.

Is it really unbelievable that Americans are against the illegal occupation of Iraq and all the innocent death brought on by it? We are the majority in this country. We are extremely angered and ashamed about what is being done in our name and with our tax dollars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran. We are DEMANDING that it end. I was there in front of the VP's protesting the election results in 2000, I marched in the shadow inaugural, I camped out in Crawford, TX with Cindy Sheehan protesting the war, and I wrote the song/made the film you see above as a video response to this song.
