  • Concept cars into reality =)

  • CRX

  • thanks honda for making this one reality :DD i will buy this car in time to come.

  • Front deisng thumbs up, rear of the car both thumbs down!

  • Blue lights like those will get you in trouble in California.

  • @n6d1b0 i have yet to see one in real life that has them blue lights. like i bought a 2011 crz and it don't have half the things that are advertised on the internet

  • amazing

  • nyc...but not like mine....l0llllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzz

  • ha wde

  • I own this car atm and it is amazing its a 4 cylinder but this shit flys cause its lightweight

  • honda shoud have used this this is amazing

  • more an more peolpe like sporty nice 2020 look this days and i love it last time i checked 70 year old man driving a honda si around 2008 lol he had tinted lights

  • it looks like an Audi and a Prius had a baby

    its still nice though

  • looks like audi concept car

  • "what else do we need?"

"I think it'd be cool if we had little blue lights that emphasize certain parts of the car like the headlights"

"pfffffft like THAT will ever work"

    *2 weeks later*

    "Oh Shi-"

  • omfg. if i liked honda before now i like it even fucking more...that car is sexyy

  • Eh, i don't care where they got the design from, their cars over the past 5 years have been hideous, and this actually looks good.

  • @DecapitatedSupremacy i thought the civic looked pretty good..

  • Same New Audi A4, Honda Copy ?

  • i bought the prototype for 80,000$

  • @bugzisfresh12 that how much i paid for your moms sweet ass...

  • honda = 0 creativity, loves to copy other successful designs..

  • @rg0r That's a rather weak comment considering the fact that the Honda Accord is the car that other car companies copy the most.

  • i love how theres no sound

  • I hope the new redesign of the Civic looks something like this, I hate the new Civic body.

  • @oopssorryy yaaa.. but when its coming out?

  • @josephbutch Its comeing out in 2012 (or 2011 in normal time, you understand how car compainies release a year ahead) thats what I have heard. Honda is rumored to be retuning the Civic to its roots, cheap fast and well built

  • oh my gawdd baby leh me luv uuu down

  • Déchire !!!!!!

  • a 6 speed manual tranny on a hybrid... wow honda has really done some homework... but as someone else commented we all know that the production model wont be anything as good as the concept... sighhh.....

  • Honda shows once again why they are one of the best. Can't wait to drive one!

  • music??

  • concept- pretty sweet. production version- fuckin ugly crap.

HEY AUTOMAKERS- YOU WANT TO SELL LOTS OF CARS??? HINT-KEEP AS MUCH AS THE CONCEPT AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!! THAT INCLUDES RIMS!

  • @07SuperchargedSS -yes it only proves that they KNOW what we want but won't let us have it...

  • @devja71 i dont see why they always change the rims for production versions. a nice set of rims can alter a car's look drastically. look at the Lexus LF CH hybrid concept or whatever it was called. the gold hatch with the sexy ass rims. if the production version looks exactly like that, i bet they sell millions. If Honda kept this car looking like this, and gave it a bit more power, they would have sold way more than they will with the production car. i guarantee it. rims dont cost THAT much.

  • @07SuperchargedSS -yes true. actually i was thinking about econo cars in general.'look at the new chev overrated volt. the concept looked real neat and hot-rod ish. then the production car comes out and it's just another boring zero of a car. to steer us toward gas guzzlers or whatever else makes THEM money. just so bloody fed-up by now i wished gm went down in a flaming spiral. oh well who really cares about them anymore anyway. this honda looks exc i hope it takes off good

  • @devja71 not all hybrid cars are shitty. the fisker karma that is coming out looks unreal. and the 918 spyder will revolutionize the sports car.

  • honda???. looks like a pruis and a audi had seks and this ugly thing came out.. good job on giving it to honda! :D

  • PRELUDE

  • @mrtech2122 lol

  • PRELUDE

  • Comment removed

  • what we really need is the PRELUDE!!!!!

  • well im happy theyre making the crz a nice car but honda please listen to me and bring back the s2000 the nsx and the rsx!!! Please! im begging you!

  • @papertigers426

Although I love the toyota MR2 and the honda S2000 I don't think they'll be coming back. They both sold horribly and that is why the respective manufacturers stopped those models. Also, Acura's RSX was done...sorta out of confusion. They were honda's luxury brand and now that they've straightened out their brand identity, i doubt a car like the RSX would come back too. The NSX was sort of a disappointment for some (although i personally like it) to be continued...

  • @factionxvt408x

As I was saying...The honda NSX was a bit of a disappointment for some because when honda designed the NSX they did not go all out on their supercar venture. Instead they made a car that was not full all out sports but seem to have some of the extra amenities that would serve in day to day things such as picking up groceries and what seemed to be a soccer mommy super car.

  • This would be great if they made it like the civic as far as offer different trims. Obviously no type r in the states but at least an si. The new cr-z si. Yea that sounds nice... With at least 200hp (because we all know Honda won't make a damn car with anymore than that nowadays) and LSD. Not everyone wants a slow ass hybrid you know. Can't wait to see a mugen version too.

  • I like that CR-Z but not in white, and the back of the side window, I hope they lover that on the official design. I wonder how much it will cost. It looks amazing.

  • Anyone know if Honda's bringing back the PRELUDE?

  • doubt it.

  • You guys do know that Honda is going mostly green now, right? No mo' Si because it doesn't fit the fuel efficiency direction that Honda's going...

  • Honda, still a FWD car... : (

  • Looks like someone from the Honda team likes them Audi's...

  • what a car...Hail Honda...you are a genius...

  • @avk006 asimo is their god

all hail to asimo, their leader, their god

  • Can you imagine if they went and designed a Type R version of this?? Looks fantastic just standard!

  • ????? WHAT? They only made 2 type R's and that's the civic and the integra. They didn't do it in 84-91 so why would they do it know?

  • FOR YOUR INFORMATION MR EXPERT... They also made an ACCORD Type R!!!! However, having said that, I have since learned this will be a Hybrid car so the chances are they won't build a Type R version.

  • You really this found out that this car is goin to be a Hybrid?????

    WOW!?

  • Looks fantastic cant wait till it comes out

  • In the method of intervening the work of an electric motor, the characteristic changes. According to the article 「It becomes like turbo without turbo lag. There is confidence. 」

  • fawk...i want one..

  • please offer one with a k20 or k24!!!!

  • yes. the return of the CRX!!

    just like the integra.

    wheres the lude???

  • I cant wait for the new net meme of 'OMG, electronic assist just kicked in yo!'

  • LOVE IT!! True successor to the CRX. Its just too bad bout the engine, rumoured to be a

i-vtec 1.5L hybrid. But im sure with a little metal work, you could get a k20 in there......

  • Sure, it has a rather puny 1.5 petrol engine, but its also assisted by an electric motor when needed. I'm sure the electric will help out with 40+hp. It wont be slow.

  • hopefully 40+ hp, cos the current Insight only gets a whopping 18hp from its electric motor.

still tho, im old fashioned in the sense that no combustion=no fun. so id rather have the k20 anyway.

  • Overall styling is simply acceptable. The hood length, hood height, driver and passenger seat height ratio is way off. You won't be able to see ANYTHING directly in front of this car. BAD design. They need to chop a foot and a half off the snoot and slope it down.

  • so i take it you have one of these? man stfu and quit being an einstein

  • I own a DC5 (RSX for the Americans) and the car has the same bonnet feature. The bonnet slops downwards sharply from the cab forward windscreen which you cant see the front of the car. It doesnt make judging distances or visibility too difficult. Its just something that you need to get used to.

  • My dream car...Woo~~~ Very attractive outlook....I love it very much..But How much ?? O_o

  • It cost about 2.5 million yen in Japan!

  • great! more annoying LED's in my rear view mirror.

Im pissed off as it is with Bmw's lights and how it looks like its high beaming everything.

  • haha yeah.. i'm not quite such a fan of having those lights behind me either, honestly. good point. .. b u t with that said it's a fairly small blemish, all things considered imo.

  • this things dope

  • The pannel is same to the new ferrari's 458 italia

  • I like it! Would buy one if I had the money :(

  • so how much is it going to be, approximately

  • I think not more than 24,000$. They said that they want to bring the new technology to as much as possible people so the price cannot be that high.

  • The black you see on the back end is dark tinted glass. So the driver will be able see whats behind him.

  • correct me if i'm wrong... but a car's blind spot is defined by what you can not see from the mirrors. so if none of you have sat down in this car and seen this for your self, how can you determine if it has "bad blind spots"... If you've ever sat in a 1st gen honda insight, you know if you adjust your mirrors there virtually is *no* blind spot. partly due to the large mirrors, with help from the cut-off tear drop hatch and the short body.

  • Honda knows that there is a blind spot because they said that they installed video cameras for rear view mirrors in the prototype. I really like this car and feel that the CRV was one of Honda's best cars

  • moreover, there goes any more reason to whine about any potential visibility issues.

  • and besides.. dude. of COURSE, you'd need a camera to see your said blindspot a foot behind *any* vehicle. It just seems a silly thing for people to gripe on.

I'm not thrilled by the mpg rumours i've heard kicked around as of today's reveling in tokyo, but having driven this cars predecessor for 6 years (1 gen insight), all the more reason i will go so far to predict that driving this car will be hella fun to drive. small, turns on a dime, light.. and electric torque is instant, folks.

  • Holy CRAP is this version better! Wow Honda, you have REALLY outdone yourself! Is an automatic transmission an option? I sure hope so.

  • lights look really cool

  • ☺♥

  • another FWD car.. We need more fun RWD cars! fuck!

  • I love it, my next car .....but , it has a serious blind spot to the rear that even Stevie Wonders would object to.

  • Yeah the blind spots look pretty bad, maybe why the side mirrors are a bit longer/larger than usual?

Either way it looks like Honda really out-did itself for this new concept. I'd get one but I'm okay with my scion tc at the moment.

  • I read a while back that the prototype had video cameras for rear view mirrors but I doubt that it will make it onto the street version. I'm a Honda guy I've had 5 and wouldn't mind owing this. When you own a 2 seater you are the one among friend who doesn't have to drive everybody around :)..

  • We will see. What bothers me is the MPG rumors I've seen about the car. 32-35 mpg ish? That seems terribly low, especially with the Civic getting better MPG on the highway and nearly decade old technology of the old Insight getting almost twice that. Let's hope it does a bit better.

  • I think what Honda is trying to do is make this car more sporty than economical, either way it'll be a big hit here in Los Angels with all the Hondaphiles, can't wait to get my hands on one and go for a test drive..... could you imagine a Turbo version with a cold air intake and milage as you say. NICE !!!

  • True, but the old CRX this was based from got up to like 50 mpg! Granted, I'm sure this car is a bit larger and safer, but still that was without the hybrid battery. I'd like to test drive one, though! I'm learning how to drive stick in the tC mentioned earlier so by the time this comes out I'll be ready. No doubt it will have a CVT or Auto transmission to appeal to most Americans who can't/don't drive stick. But if it were my money, I think the new Insight would be a better deal overall.

  • I guess it depends on what your looking for in a car but from what I see this is offering a little bit of both economy and sport, in my eyes best of both worlds. I've had 5 speed sticks in all my cars because I ride a lot of bike and need something to do with both my feet. Best way to get use to a stick is to put yourself on a hill and get the feel of the clutch and gas petal ... thats what I did....although I've never driven a 6 speed before It's just a matter of having that extra gear on frwy

  • I doubt a 6 speed is much different than a 5 speed it's just getting used to the new configuration of the reverse and 6th gear. I am learning stick because my car is a stick haha. Only 19 so it doesn't make me look like a fool. I've gotten to the point where I can drive around but I still gotta practice hills and downshifting.

I think this definitely looks like a good car and idea...I'll wait to see the production version and see its specs. Glad Honda brought back the CRX design it looks great.

  • A sixth gear on the freeway is like letting the rubber band go, take your time and put yourself on a hill and practice. I couldn't see myself going back to a automatic, shifting is so much more fun. When I was a kid I use to watch the school bus driver going through the gears and that really inspired me to drive a manual.

  • it depends who you are and where you drive with the six speed. im in canada alberta, things are very spread out, lots of 70mph driving, so a 6th gear allows the engine to run at lower revolutions and consume much less gas. the only disadvantage to the 6th gear is it weighs that much more (not very much more) and costs a little more to manufacture.

  • bela makina...

  • Very nice

  • me likey!

  • UFO ?

  • looks like design of volvo C30

  • its in production.. release @ Jap in 21 February ^^

  • looks promising

  • hope they make this..
