That also happens in eastern Australia sometimes, and I've observed it in West Africa and The Bahamas. They never tell you something like this, giving you the impression that it is somehow special. It's just that scientists study dolphins in specific places. They only observe a relatively small number of individuals in a relatively small area, and only a fraction of what they observe ever finds its way into a docu. People who learn only from docus always have a distorted picture of dolphins.
