Sulcatas diet should consist of mostly grasses and weeds. They are grazers in the wild. Human produce like lettuce has too much protein for them and should only make up 25% of their diet. Our vet also recommended Mazuri pellets which has all the vitamins and calcium included. We give those pellets along with the grasses and weeds. We give him a little bit of lettuce, carrots, and cactus pads as a treat. We also let him eat the yellow dandelion flowers...those are his favorite treat!
