I think he just wanted his son protected, being his first child and all- & similar in appearance & talent. Janet was just joining the cast of Fame then. she didn't start to get big until mid-85' and eventually leaving the show early. and Omer has a sister that favors him alot but they are just different skin complexions. which could mean that they have different biological fathers, Omer's possibly being Michael. Simply put, Michael would not hide that he had a song. He was so proud of his children, a child was something he always wanted. Even when he was with Lisa Marie he became very close and adored her children. Michael and Omer definitely had a unique relationship, but there is no way he'd deny that he had a child.

This whole interview sounds basically like an admission to me that he is indeed MJ's son. If he wasn't, he would just deny it flat out and squash all the rumors. But he can't deny it, so he just says "it's private". There is no reason to say that unless it was true! Look at Michael before ANY plastic surgery, and you will see this boy looks nothing like MJ. They keep showing photos of them in the 90's after MJ has had many surgeries and his skin is lighter. Yes, after all the work MJ had done, they look a like now. But, Omer (to me) has none of MJ's true features.

Im a convinced that Omer is his only biological child. They are too similar. Omer did´n´t inherit his perfect father's voice, (nor Michael´s complete ear), but its seamless mobility to the dance, and his enormous physical resemblance give him away. By the way, I find wonderful, that neither Michael nor Omer, have made this public: Omer's private life would be Hell, as was his father. Long live the King of Pop and his son.

This is my 2cent worth about it - I love MJ beyond anything in this world but I don't believe Omer was his biological son - period. I believe when MJ met his family and Omer he was really taken by him and like all the other children, he brought Omer and family to be close to him so MJ can spend time with Omer. Omer came to Neverland when Prince and Paris were little and he spent a lot of time with them and it was only natural for the kids to call him brother. Obviously he got closer to the rest of the Jackson clan, it was another natural process for all the accept him "family".
