CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE, i watched an interview with the two main lads from the big pink, the singer introduced himself and said what he does, and the other said that he does samples and feedback? what does he mean by that? i know what feedback is but i dont get what he means

@gavofleon if you know what it is...then what don't you get? :) feedback is what happens when a sound is literally "fed back" into the loop so as to produce a harmonically saturated overtone. sampling is the art of taking pre-recorded sounds/songs and chopping them up, changing them(sometimes), and then playing those sounds as though it was an instrument unto itself. Much rap and electronic music uses sampling. An EXCELLENT example of creative sampling is the band Animal Collective
