The Republican Parties leaders in recent years have really damaged the economy with there Reaganomics economic policies. This in turn resulted in Obama's spending, though I don't agree with quite a bit of his spending.
The democrats have tried to help the less fortunate but were to often funded by lobbyists with a corporate agenda.
