I find it funny how this opening makes Enma look like a chivalrous mini-badass but the scenes that correspond to this from the actual anime (like Incupuss stomping on Enma with his paw) are just comical and perverted, a total invert of what I expected :D It's still awesome anyways

This show has my respects, i love this series in every way. Enma is one of the coolest Characters i have seen in an anime, and their pair with yuki is fabulous.

And they even have a loli in the series wich has an awesome personality that i love.

Even if others may think this is full of crap, but i'm still a full fledged fan who loves it. Dororon Enma-kun is one of the best series i have seen. And i've seen many different animes like NG Evangelion, TTGL and Fist of the north star and much more.

@DDerp What you really need to read is the Go Nagai manga as this is what Meeramera takes a lot from. The original was mostly Toei's own version of Dororon Enma-kun based on Go Nagai's concept. So look up the director, Yoshitomo Yonetani and obviously Go Nagai if you haven't heard of him till now.

@tjofthewiredV2 I'm only in my second semester of Jap, but "mera" comes from the verb moeru I'm assuming which is to burn. tamashii means soul. icho is one thousand in this case and "do" is the counter for degrees...at least that's to the best of my ability haha. Anyone can feel free to correct me.

Literally "mera mera" is somewhat similar to "crackle crackle" in English. Signifying the sound a flame makes. So in meaning "mera mera" would translate something like "burst into flame" or maybe "flames flare".

Repeating mera mera over and over creates the image of an intense burning fire. It doesn't really translate well, so I guess the gg subbers took the image of a soul burning from later in the song and repeated it for the "mera mera". Which is a decent decision.

I looked up the lyrics, and it translates in the song as "burning." Look it up on Animelyrics They have it. multitasker409 was rather good.
