its not chopping, the ball is breakind on the front of the bolt because the loader cracked the shell.

a chop is when the bolt cuts a ball in half. clearly not the case here.

This Ego9 Body is obviously heavily modified to allow the filming of the inside of the breech. In order to do that we have had to remove virtualy all of one side of the breech. In doing so it has severely reduced the effectiveness of the Deftek system.

Having said that, we never had a ball bounce high enough in filming that would have been chopped. So it still worked to some degree.

This video does not show what happens when you chop paint. It shows what happens when you set your loader to a feed force/speed that is too high. Chopping paint is caused by the bolt of the marker moving forward closing off the feed tube and the ball not being fully in the breech when the bolt moves.

It was made (I think) to demonstrate that too much force or speed from the hopper knackers the paint before it ever reaches the breech. For all those players who max out their hopper settings to shoot 13bps and then blame the gun for 'chops'.
