  • @brandonmskates brians zero g custom

  • try opening your glove.

  • This dude does the t-push weary well :)

  • MHL?

  • Also, the catcher is closed for the entire sequence. I know that it's a footwork drill, but ALL techniques should be used EVERY TIME to ensure a solid foundation that is repetitive and automatic.

  • @TheGoalieGuru his glove isnt closed idk what video you are watching lol his glove is just bent alittle similar to the way fleury has his its just his style

  • @DANGLExSAUCE Closed, meaning not square to the shooter.

"It's just his style". I love that! So when I'm coaching my goalies tomorrow night to be better and they say 'it's my style', I just let them do it. Wow!

  • @TheGoalieGuru ooooo ok thats different i can see that its tilted towards his chest. Your right about that

  • @TheGoalieGuru but their is nothing wrong with keeping youre glove like that its not closed its just bent in ON NO

  • @DANGLExSAUCE The glove should always be square to the shooter. Always! There are several reasons why.

  • When shuffling back to the top of the right side of the crease (viewers left side at 0:26) why is the goalie using a c-cut stop at the end of the shuffle? I know this is newer age Allaire stuff, but it is actually slower because it takes longer to set and it opens up the goalie more creating a bigger hole.

I find it's not necessary on short shuffles. A regular 'square to the shooter' shuffle is all that is needed.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers!

  • @TheGoalieGuru LoL! giving tips everywhere yo go eh? nice. :)

  • @rsacc4sale1 The tip is wrong?

  • @TheGoalieGuru The tip is right and wrong in every different way, its pretty much personal preference. Depending on what you prefer and how go you are at it.

  • @rsacc4sale1 It's your preference to be stiffer and more rigid than smooth? It's your preference to be less square to the shooter? It's your preference to be slower?

  • @TheGoalieGuru its not slower if you can do it and do it well.

  • @rsacc4sale1 Time yourself like I have timed others who think your technique is correct against a slide step and stop! You'll change, trust me!

  • @TheGoalieGuru Never said it's correct, neither is yours its what you learned and what you like.

  • @rsacc4sale1 There are better ways to do everything. It's taking the time, research, and testing to figure out what they are. I have. Have you?

Good luck in the future and thanks for the discussion.

    Peace!
