Steve is a very cool dude, im a huge Purple fan, but.. there are too maaany songs you just cant play without Ritchie.. A good example is Lazy, cause its much about Ritchies improvisation and timing.

there is a video from Deep Purple in Sofia, Bulgaria 28.11.1998, and Lazy on it has the same style - (btw the same piano-intro thing appears on Total Abandon from 20.04.1999) so I think this is the Moscow gig from 21.11.1998, Abandon Tour. They have also the same zig-zag decor thing behind them like on Total Abandon.

The only other Moscow shows with the Morse+Lord lineup were 23.06.1996 (filmed stadium concert, no Lazy) and 09.04.2000 when Gillan should have had his hair cut already.

i believe the beginning is a bit improv, later, before the song kicks in, at 2:00 when you hear the crowds response on what he plays, from then on its something that he does more often when playing lazy.
