It was really detrimental to Rob's game by not voting out one of the three in Russell's alliance over Randy when he had the chance. Randy was no threat whatsoever, and by not sparing him at least one time his alliance got taken down by big Russ dog. Boston Rob doesn't know who he's messin with, it's Russell Hantz.

Russell is a good player. But Rob is simply a better player. I agree that Hantz fundamentally does not understand how to play Survivor to win. He has no ability to put people on the jury to vote for him to win in the end. He failed miserably at it twice, playing so poorly that both times he played, two people that really did not deserve to win were able to win almost ENTIRELY because of how Russell played.
Russ could have won S20 if he told the Hero's that there was no all-women's alliance and given JT back the HII. That would have taken balls.
