Chef Eric in Palmdale & Lancaster California is absolutely an amazing instructor his classes are so much fun. If you are in the area contact him at 323-683-2364. He has always been so helpful.
I really really would like to take the basics class ( I'm only 14 and I would like to learn some basic tips and techniques) but my family can't afford the $20 PLUS the cost of all those supplies. It really disappoints me that they don't have extra supplies that people can reuse.
@herfavoritehate89 what is your budget for cake decorating? you could save up $200 dollars to buy an ultimate kit (with a coupon of course) and use the rest of money for a couple of cake pans or cake ingredients. once you get that kit ,you are set for all three courses. try getting a quick job at your local supermarket or babysitting to earn extra cash! good luck, im 15 and currently taking decorating basics course 1.
The reason why I am so upset is for years and years in fact ever since I was born we come to the states and buy wilton products, I know it's a great company and when I heard their courses were being given I was sooo existed even though they charged almost 200$ for each course, which means I ended up paying almost $800!! but still I didn't hesitate.. Very disappointed was I at the end of each course..
Well that's exactly what I am talking about, it's not course four it was the fondant gumpaste course but the place that gave the courses called it course four. And to make matters worse the certificates that they gave us at the end of each course, my name was hand written in a very bad handwriting..
This is SO not fair, I took the course over a year ago, don't know how much the charge for it in the states but it cost me almost 190 dollars!!
Our trainer was sooo UN trained, she didn't know how to smoothly cover the cake with ice or fondant, I took all 4 courses but gained so little and felt SO taken advantage of!
I'm taking the first class. I am 14 and the teacher and other students are nice! It's like 24 for the class and about 40$ for supplies.. Just a rough estimate .. Luv the class Wilton can't wait to work with fondant

@SuhadShi I'm not sure about there being 4 courses in the Wilton curriculum? Are you sure you didn't take some other non-Wilton classes?
