I had season tickets the year the Canes won. It was unbelievable, game 7 of the cup was amazing. I never sat down the entire game, intermissions and all. Unbelievable.

who worked harder? obviously the canes worked harder because they were the higher seed (2nd in the eastern conference trailing first by 1 point, that means they worked harder in the off season before, the whole season, and through the playoffs. they came back from a 2-0 series in montreal while our starting goalie was out with the flu and our rookie ward stepped in and took over and we came back and won the series. next was the red hot NJ devils.

we ran marty brodeur out of his net and won the series 4-1. then we had to face another red hot team called the buffalo sabres with a stacked offense and ryan miller. we fought hard for a 7 game series win. dont forget we were without erik cole this whole time. then the oilers were up and took a 3-0 lead and the canes came back WITH ROLOSON IN. then it was 4-3 when hemsky scored and made it 4-4 THEN ROLOSON was hurt and then your goalie messed up and we scored. 2nd game 5-0 canes, no comment

obviously you have no idea that cam ward was the back up to martin gerber, not the other way around. martin gerber was sick throughout the montreal series, which is why he was pulled. cam ward played so good for the rest of the playoffs (with the exception of those few buffalo games) that he stayed in net.
