  • Great stuff, this method of bouncing off combustion (not compression) is the only way to start some engines eg. the little COX -049 which runs either direction due to it's reed valve. If you flick the prop anti-clock it fires up clockwise, so you have to flick the prop the opposite way. This video proves the skill of the opperator to understand the engine and also proves the quality of OS carbs when set up perfectly.

  • I have an OS 15LA with a very small 8x4 prop which has barely any momentum, will this still work?

  • Yup , thats how you should start those engines. Bounce it off compression . It should then bounce and start the correct way. Mine is getting there (brand new engine) so it's not broken it yet but it'S getting easier and easier to get her started that way. I've also noticed using a starter sometimes unscrews the prop because too much compression. Great engine.

  • UHH, what was the POINT of this clip? Didn't even get to hear it idle.

  • valla video mas corto para eso no metas nada

  • no you bounce it off of compression.

  • THose OS engines sure run great don't they!....

    Jewlry quality all the way....

  • looks like you started it backwards :)

  • Yes that's correct, the best way to start an OS manualy

  • my os engine when i start it it always run backwards even i start in in the right way

  • @RvdO007 will u doing this brake it ???

  • @RvdO007 sure seems so, when im starting my os manualy it reverses( pushing air, not draging) never quite understod why :p
