Why would anyone bring a conventional 4x4 to a place like that. Just waiting to get stuck as hell. Doesnt matter if you even have the mighty G-Wagen, it will sink down and be stuck. Only running machine through there will be the UNIMOG.

id like to know more about that unimog, what year and model is it? did it come with the deisel motor or is that a retro fit?

Look...it is simple!!! That is semi-dry mud....more like clay. Stiff as hell.

Why don't you do the SMART thing and tow the landy from the REAR...using it's own track, instead of trying to plow a field with it!!!

Why would you even contemplate towing against a winch brake? With a Mog!

Does the landy have no recovery points? Have you not got a shovel to clear the OSF wheel? Why not backwards?

I would stay home till you learn some basic recovery skills before you kill someone.

I hate!!! to admit there are some strange goings on in this recovery, the real international rescue was fetured in the video response. But Hay! i was working for channel 4, lol. The rope was finaly fitted to the front recovery point under the watchfull eye of my sandra. She always knows best. All the best.

haha, it was a great day. mine was the red fourtrak going around. my mate has the record of breaking his rangie in the quickest posible time i think. he blew the front half shafts driving off the truck. then blew the rear diff showing us that he had no front wheel drive. ye had a great day. i was one of the lads holding onto the back of that landie when it nearly went down that cliff. good fun!
