  • I bought a cook set like that, if it doesn't say SS it's probably aluminum. I wouldn't keep it in a bob due to the fact that aluminum can leak toxins into food. For car camping it's ok, just remember to bring liquid soap to coat the bottom exterior of the pot before cooking otherwise you will have quite a messy pot afterwards, trust me on this one.

After dealig with that a few times i decided to just shell out the extra bucks and picked up a titanium cup.

  • why are you whispering?

  • Why are you wispering?

  • I have to say, kudos for at least addressing warmth. I see a lot of bugout bags that have nothing more than a space blanket.

  • Why am i impressed that there is a guy who actually have a water container in his kit, i find it strange that there are so many people whom completely forget about water and boiling containers :/. Any way you are well prepared, btw get some pain releavers, bandage and paracord in there to, then you are better set in case some shit hits the fan ;)

  • We have the same bag!!

  • Where can you get a 1 person tent for 15 dollars?

  • Great Vid!!! Your background music is giving me a headache though... Well Done.

  • The thing about the water bladder is that its going to be impossible to keep clean in the field. It's a pain to wash those things out at home.

  • Good idea is to get the pair of boots one size bigger than your size to compensate for swelling of the foot or extra socks.

  • @slimj82 Extra socks means a lot more slop and slide in your boots. This can lead to heat and sweating; which can lead to sweat blisters and rubbing blisters. I'd just carry some Mickey Mouse boots or something if you need waterproofing or better insulation, etc.

  • @mdmyers7206 I hear that nylons reduce friction from long distance walks very well.

  • @expanton Ah, that's a pretty cool idea.

  • Beware cheap tents. They are usually terrible at keeping water out.

  • how can i find the cooking kit

  • Putting items like socks in plastic bags or vacumn bags like you did is a good idea. Take the time to get rid of extra packaging/weight. Set up tents and practice with all equipment so you know how to use it. If the goal is three days - not sure I would worry about foods that had to be cooked/reheated. Longer term you would need utensils, stove and food.

Good point about breaking in boots the boots in the clip look brand new. Also make sure you sharpen are cutting edges.

  • i wont be one of the first to leave, i will be one of the last.... i will be trying to aid others in an evacuation or natural disaster so i don't plan my "bug out" quite the same as others and my gear is definitely different. and just to nit pick.. a pet peve of mine if you will.... its not a "police" scanner. its a "scanner" that can listen to businesses, police, fire, emt, whatever. you can get the freq and listen to the McDonald's drive thru if you want.... just sayin.....

  • @expanton what did i get for the items i traded in? an interceptor vest, 2 rifle plates for the vest, a Kevlar helmet, ammunition cans, knee pads, elbow pads, a night vision mounting strap for the helmet. did i do good? the rifle plates alone if you buy online. you will pay $250 each or more. the vest online for one of equal ability, new $750 and up, used $400 and up. so you tell me, are there deals to be had at surplus stores. i say yes. my deal was done at army/navy surplus in Oklahoma

  • @expanton i will partly agree with your statement. but you are way off on the other part. i agree that alot of surplus stores now have kind of a normal inventory. but the ones in my area still have a rotating inventory of what they can get surplus. the part about selling it for more? i was able to make TRADES a few months ago and i walked out with out paying a dime for a lot of very good gear. what did i trade? my old military uniforms, patches, ribbons, used boots and a 10yo bullet proof vest..

  • you should post a tracklisting!!! accccccid!!!

  • Boots. I think just as vital as water. Solid, tromping, all leather, hardcore boots. 8"-10" so if you have to cross water you can tighten them to the top eye skin tight and spend a respectable time submerged over the cuff. In any climate you feel chilly in winter get insulated And wool socks, frozen toes suck like nothing else. Have wool socks on when you fit your boots or you could pay dearly with having boots too small to wear the thick(and very warm) wool. Your feet are your life.

  • what does he mean by braking the boots ? wear them ? like ....don;t buy them and store them but wear them to ware them down a bit ?

  • @RegiusCruor boots that arent broken in to your feet can cause very painful and sometimes dehabilitating problems for your feet. Walk about 50 miles in your boots over a 2 week period and your boots will be broken in and cause almost no pain to your feet as long as you have a good pair. I would suggest trying on alot of boots until

you find one that fits properly. Boots should be tight but not so tight that it begins cutting of circulation. Use 2 pair of shoelaces. one for base of foot, 1 leg

  • @antiphony33 ok, thx

  • Why is it that i don't see anyone ever have any type of two way communication devices like a CB or 2-meter ham hand hald? I must be the only one that has packed BOTH in my BOB

  • @TheNuttycrew OOps.. Held not hald..

  • @TheNuttycrew no your not. i have radio equipment also. those 15 or 30 mile range little radios you can get at radio shack or walmart are great. if your going to get them i suggest g.r.m.s. radios. you can buy a package of 2 for from $30-150 depending on range, make, model, accessories, ect. some may feel they don't need them, this will help you make contact with others in your area, or hide from them if need be, you can listen to others and hear where they are and if any problems in that area.

  • @glockfan5193 I like the CB or 2-meter ham hand held plus i just added a police scanner..

  • @TheNuttycrew i have a vehicle mounted cb radio. and a 1000 channel duel trunking scanner. also can be vehicle mounded, right now its in my living room. i have uhf and vhf radios just laying around. im in law enforcement and i have acquired a few radios... lol. since im in law enforcement i dont worry about ham radios for communication. the wal mart type radios would be ok for my family, the uhf/vhf i would use for work or other professionals that were bugging out too. but being law enforcement

  • why do people feel the need to play music DURING the video...

WHILE they are talking... it bugs the fuck out of me

  • @xabsolutelyxalienx well i dunno about bugging my fuck out, but it definitely makes it nearly impossible to hear this guy properly while hes speaking....

  • Great video Bug-Out bag is a great idea if you got kids its way more important to have a bug out. It's good to know what you may need or something that may become impossible to find.even We can buy it all at once or grab pieces here and there so you can save a buck.

  • vA CHIER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • where did you get both of those tents?

  • @expanton very true, most surplus stores have boots and uniforms and maybe some knives. I went to my local store and the only thing I found of any use was a military bed roll

  • Great review of your BOB & thanks 4 the reminder about the face cover (Very important)

  • @BenjaminFulford all these ppl talking about fema and the other groups planing to kill us what the f#$k is wrong with them

  • I don't see anyone here saying that. You should prolly take this debate to a more relevant video.

  • y everyone thank the wourld's going to end. and the military will kill us all, hello they arent going to kill thire familys and frinds, plus if there is a huge problem it wont help with ppl going around and killing the ppl trying to help u. thank about it if u kill them they will kill u and u arent going to win.

  • @expanton I disagree, The surplus store by my place has all kinds of stuff wayy cheaper than online. Also no shipping charge and you have it when you need it.

  • Better to be safe than Sorry..........nice vid looking forward to your update!!!!!

  • Great bag, have the same one. Fox tactical 3 day Assault pack and it's super tough.

  • Good to have a bob,i also have one in my house and a smaller version in the car.

Good to see what othere keep in theres.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi there , thanks for your video ... was just woundering how much did the tent cost , and where can i get the same tent .. i live in canada .. thank you godbless....

  • why do you use the all seeing eye ?

  • I use it overturned and uprooted by a group of people working together to symbolically represent overthrowing the power structure.

  • @michaelhomefree1 Good question. Damn illuminati takin over very disapointing

  • dont forget the weed bag and papers

  • Have you tested the Saguro Bivy? How well does it hold up? Resist rain?

  • What do you think of FEMA / RED Cross information and their Bail Out Bag kit that sells which includes all the basic needs to last 72 hours ? Perhaps you can buy this $35 with everything in it, and modify them from there IF needed... ?

  • i use layers for my sleeping comfort in cold weather. 2 poncho liners, light summer bag, emerg biv bag and gortex biv bag..... cozy!

  • Break-in your packs too, go out with 20-40lbs and see how it rides/rubs.

  • Don't let it sit in the corner gathering dust. Go try it out and see what works for you and what does not.

  • Yeah just took mine out, still have a lot to add, to it, but even the 15-or 20lbs and the way that I have it set up, didn't sit well with me. So I need to go over it again, and try different things, and then take it out and see what works and what doesn't. It's a work in progress, but I have found I actually enjoy it. :)

  • @mrsdjsdj: THAT is the point regarding all BOB-attempts! Good point. You will find out that many things don`t work or are totally useless.

  • man nice video but is that the vega boys playing in the backround?

  • lol no, it is something I made in fruity loops a while back. Thanks for the feedback!

  • I like that backpack, and I'm digging this series.

  • i know that voice hes a sub of mine

  • Good stuff. Self vaccuum packing is a top tip!

  • Well if you are not smart enough to see past the music you are probably pretty screwed when the shit hits the fan aren't you?

  • @yomton2616

    lol.

  • I've looked at a few of these bug out/emergency videos and what about those with families?? Anyone want to do a video for families?

  • The same rules apply to family bags as regular bugout bags. Just multiply out the rations and supplies you will need by the number of people in your party, and the number of days you want to be prepared for. Also be sure to include things like medications, diapers, formula when appropriate depending on the age of your child. Also you might want to figure out alternative plans to stay local in case you have small children which will inhibit anything but short movements. Thanks for commenting!

  • I used the vac packer to seal up a bic lighter, fire steel(flint rod thing), miniture alchohol stove(tea light model), Matches, some dryer lint tinder. It is a good idea to have some fair size zip lock bags for water, keeping foredged stuff dry and after you open the vac pack. Good to know the poor mans cook set is

is Soup(and/or) bean or stew can, zip lock bags, tupper like bowl with lid, some utensels and vice grip or needle nose plyers.

    thanks

  • where did you buy your compact food cookin equipment and the bag also ?

  • See the description for similar products.

  • the thing about MREs though which is why poeple get them, is that you can buy alot at once and mostly it has about a 10 year shelf life. the other things cost less but you need to replace them about every year. nice video

  • The MREs do in fact have a long shelf life, but vacuum sealed food can easily last just as long.

  • mres r better but caned stuff and thins r ok
