@kurtiswithak lol not even close, they are good, but they got a long way till they are that good, not to mention the underwhelming aircraft they fly. just my opinion lol
@kurtiswithak The Snowballs performance was really graceful, but you cannot compare that gracefulness to the breathtaking performance of the Blue Angels.
The fact you'd call these pilots lame shows you know nothing. Even your Blue Angels pilots have publicly praised them. So please do fall asleep, spare us your asinine comments and let those of us who appreciate hard work and precision flying enjoy this remarkable performance.
@kurtiswithak blue angels use supersonic F series jets mostly flying in tight formation. This is about grace and beauty slower more agile planes, it's like apples and oranges
@hawker800FO they still do :) for which i'm thankful because i've been trying to figure out their first song, "In Flight" by Steven Vitali, for years! lol
@ QAFtuvok101 I'm a red arrow fan through and through the hawk is getting very old now and that needs replacing looks like both teams need to find a new aircraft soon! Cracking display guys would love to see your full display *****
they may not be the fastest, or the loudest, but these boys do some of the closest and craziest shit out there. I also love how the lead is always talking and they let you hear them talking. gives you a real reminder that there are people in those birds doing this stuff. Awesome stuff, way to make canada proud. Maybe one day our government will get you some talons, or bugs to fly.
@xtremeimport - Doubt they'll spend the money, but wouldn't it be awesome? The Snowbirds are my favorite team after the Blues... they're similar badasses. They just need louder aircraft!
Ya can't beat the old Ct-114 Tudor! You can buy one for yourself for around 100 grand! It would have been nice if the guy had left his wife and her friend at home, or at least told them to shut the hell up!
In my opinion, the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels use speed and noise to awe the crowd. The Snowbirds use formations and precision. But all 3 groups are very good.
@trekkiepro I saw all 3, plus the Red Arrows in june 2008 in Québec City (see my videos) and I like them all. The thrill of the speed ans noise of the Thunderbirds and Blue angels, and the grace and precision of the Red Arrows and Snowbirds. Those are two different styles you can't compare.
@trekkiepro I think you're correct in your opinion. The Thunderbirds and Blue Angels definitely use speed and noise, where the Snowbirds use formations and precision like you said. I think it's a credit to all the teams that they know the strengths of their particular aircraft and use them to their utmost. There are many times I've seen the Blue Angels do climbs a Snowbird couldn't do, while the Snowbirds have done low-speed maneuvers that would cause a Blue Angel F/A-18 to stall.
Very good flight. I suppose that this is the low program because they didn't perform vertical loops: anyway they're very good, maybe better than the Red Arrows, but, i'm sorry, not the best of the best, like someone has wrote. There's who do incredibles manouvers whit training jets...
@Bergstaller01 Maybe they will change for Hawks, the same planes the RAF Red Arrows use and the plane that replaced the Tutor in the training of canadian pilots.

These planes are slow and they make no noise, plus the pilots are lame. I could fall asleep during this show...

Very nice piece of filming.
Reminds me of the Québec Airshow in 2008 (see my videos), with the Snowbirds, Thunderbirds, Blue Angels and Red Arrows. What a day !

The coolest thing about a Snowbird show is that no matter when or where you look in the sky, you see an airplane.

The Snowbirds are the best of the best. I imagine them them doing the performance in CF-18's how awesome would that be?
Bergstaller01 2 years ago 16
that would be great, but i don't think that they will be changing jets anytime soon.
chomidore3 2 years ago
They may not, but the airframes are wearing out more and more every year and are in need of repair more and more often
