I went to this shitpile of a festival because I love the Priest. 1 day ticket was nearly 80 quid. I drive there and on arrival some ass stain demands 15 quid to park the car. Thats nigh on 100 quid before i even got in. I will never attend another festival in the UK again. Why? Cos I went to Grasspop which was a better lineup (Priest, Kiss, Maiden) for 107 quid all in plus camping. 2 euros for a shower, 4 euros for a full breakfast and cheap beer. Fuck Live Nation AND Rip off Britain

The reason Priest did not utterly rule as expected at this shitpile of a festival is because the soundman was an utter donkeys cock and decided to lower the guitars in the mix. If you want to see Priest, go to a show where they headline indoors - They will blow your head off your shoulders and you will be a fan for life.

this band should have headlined. there was a time when donington (NOT SHITTY DOWNLOAD) used to be a metal festival. these days you got my chemical romance & other shit that is anything but metal ...& you no whos to blame??? the main reason for that is that they put shit like simple plan and lostprophets in a metal festival, ffs kerrang just leave download alone. bring back slayer and metallica, and megadeth and machine head, and korn, keep judas priest, and bring in anthrax, and keep coheed and cambria becuase they're good

Priest was my favourite band of the weekend along with Testament.

Halford voice is still immense whatever anyone else says.

I was down near the front and even there lots of people just weren't reacting at all. Their loss...I was jumping round like an idiot :-P

What a truly amazing set, the crowd were pretty static on the main stage all weekend (unlike the tuborg or gibson stages). We did start a pit on the right hand side though, it would of been wrong not too :)
