Okay Dushiin,

Had to respond to your question...Your obviously confused. He's not "triggering" anything when he hits the side of the MPC, he's just recording the sound (notice the microphone placed right above the machine). If you eq it right you can almost anything sound killin like that. Dim needs to come to the states and play!
