i think that when Russell Brand has some sort of plan, or order to his comedy he really is great, in series 1 and 2 he is fabulous.
i dont like his stand up that much though, because either its improvised, or supposed to sound like its improvised, and improvisation is great, though in my experience of seeing comedians live, (including Billy Conelly) they cant do it very well.

I mean seriously, Britain has some of the best comedy shows (Blackadder, A Bit of Fry and Laurie etc) which all distinguish their humour. And what does Russell Brand do?
