@ShaunFriedman Quick question, I have an AT4040, and I'm on a budget. Right now my chain looks like this: At4040>M-Audio mobile pre>shitty ass pc. I was planning on getting a few more items and was planning on a chain that looks more like this: AT4040>Focusrite ISA One>FNR RNC or FNR RNLA>Focusrite Saffire pro 6>shitty ass pc. This should run me about $1,000 which still makes me cringe but it's the most I'm willing to spend. Thoughts on this? Also is it nessessary to upgrade my interface?
what about for recording instruments bro for example drums, bass and guitar. i am barely starting to build my recording studio and im trying to figure out how to get a nice clean sound. i own a pro 40 focusrite interface, and i was planning to record everything directly from the instrument or drum mics to the interface what do u recommend??
@eecabron - thanks for writing, please call Matt Lowe @ Sweetwater Sound, 1-800-222-4700 and he is extension 1652. He can point you in the right direction and has many years of recording experience. Thanks!

@SpyMcSlapbornn - they are many cable configurations, like RCA to XLR or RCA to 1/4" or whatever you may need.
