@spikeyguy777 All energy based attacks in the Dragon Ball universe use "chi" energy which is life force, either from the person or from around them. Its like when the Guardian of the Universe fought Galactus, using life energy only feeds him, so any DB attack would feed him, and physical assaults are limited given his energy/dimensional wavelength/semi-abstrat nature.

What he "absorbs" has always been a little "vague" some incarnations feed on heat or bio-matter, but the main one feeds on "Planets that have the potential to hold life" he can feed directly on life converting it to a dimensional wave form (a messy process often wasteing most of it which his machines make more efficient) or directly on the planet's mass (seen in Beta Ray Bill God Hunter when he pretty much blew up a planet while feeding the old fashion way).
