Ah the question I kept asking people that had good audio at these shows. It's a Canon S2 IS. It's a few years old and I got it for $100 used... the difference is that it shoots 640x480 @ 30fps, with stereo microphones and mic sensitivity settings. The 12x optical zoom doesn't hurt either. I have a few videos from up front and it almost was able to handle being 10 feet from the speakers.
