harry, how do you add frames at the beginning so the first shape is "still" and doesnt move. it animates straight away you see, i want it to be still for say 5 seconds before it morphs. I know how to make the ending still,just add more frames, but it doesn't work when I add frames at the beginning. HOW DO YOU MAKE THE BEGINNING STILL?

Just make a key frame at the beginning and another at about frame 20. On frame 1, draw a shape and on 20 another shape. Then right click and make a morph tween. Basically just follow this video step-by-step! and you should be alright.

ok doesnt matter i've worked it out! I've got another question...When you do animation on flash, how do you hold the last frame as a still frame for say 10 seconds before it disappears?

Depends how long you need it for. I would recommend about 10-15 seconds.

Thanks for the question. I THINK (dont take my word for it) that you can only do it with a pre-determined shape. But you might want to try this (I cant since I dont have Flash for a while):

1. Draw something on the stage.

2. Convert it to symbol.

3. Do the steps in video.

4. On frame 20 (etc.) draw something else and convert to symbol.

5. Do the tween steps (as shown in video)

6. Play and see if it works.

I'm not exactly sure and I can't check for you right now as I don't have Flash for a while, but I believe that if there is a polygon tool, make the star using that and continue with the rest of the steps.
