They look like shit, the gameplay is just HEAVEN. For the record, Team Fortress 2 sucks monkeyballs dipped in diarrhea ass and left to rot for a week. Controls are stiff, humor is alright but corny, there are no grenades and it's not... really... a "TF" game at all. It's a modern look-a-like.
How does it make sense to say that it requires no skill? If someone is better than you, they have more skill than you. Obviousley, any game you play requires skill, anything you do requires skill. It doesnt make sense to say ANYthing requires no skill. TF2 is more fun, better graphics (i dont really care about that but some do), and more professionaly made, and COMPETETIVE.
@Colenelly Well sure, but I would kind of disagree, the competitive part is slightly ruined by the crits system which is made to help poor players feel better than what they really are. A lucky crit can slaughter the whole enemy team as the right class, which really isn't skilful. Sure it takes skill stay alive that long, but in overall, TF2 was pretty mindless when it first came out. I guess that has changed now since players have been playing it for YEARS... Amazing to think that TF2 is old :O
@fortressfiles Definitely. TF2 is a game for the rookies, which I guess makes it a good game in itself because it helps them have fun too and feel like they're doing good (crits...). TFC does require a LOT of skill and I see a whole bunch of TF2 players try out TFC, which is great, but it's obvious they are TF2 players because of their gamestyle... Slow, no bhopping, hardly able to aim, they spam nades, they dont use them tactically.
@Colenelly TF2 got graphical improvements, but is just as buggy (map-wise) as all other games. It's not really a better game, it just looks better for the kids who prefer that stuff over real gameplay. I guess it's a good game if you prefer that kind of gameplay too, but to me it's pretty boring because it lacks the unique action of TFC-TF.
@TVFrag TFC is a remake. TF was made based on the engine of a completely DIFFERENT game, Quake (1). TFC is based off Valve's Half-Life engine called GoldSrc. TF2 is based on Valve's Half-Life (2) engine Source.
