  • any idea on what the differnce is between this model and the 777ss?

  • @G30360 outer case, thats it, they are the same otherwise!

  • @hoover1060 thanks for the reply! I kind of figured they were the same. I just picked one up off kijiji for $150 CAD, not bad eh? even comes with free installation

  • Hey just thought I'd let you know my ISE is still going strong and takes all sorts of abuse.. Bought my parents one as well and it got such a workout that it tripped out the overload after about an hour of steady use.. Amazing machine..

  • Hey, could you tell me if you like my vids? Your are awesome! My vids are of a badger 5. But my new disposer is a 100ss. It seems to work very well, although the badger grinds cantaloupe better.

  • your videos are cool, I am surprised a badger would eat that stuff and not clog the drain. I have since replaced the PRO77 with an ISE Evolution Excel.

    Video forthcoming...

  • I noticed that the In Sink Erators run at a constant speed even while grinding sown heavy material like bones while the GE's or any one with a permanent magnet motor seems to be a more inconsistent speed whill grinding heavy material, but the ISE's also sound a lot nicer.

  • I am looking at getting a disposer for my place but what ones have you tested and of what ones you have what do you favour??? I am thinging myself either that one tyou have in the clip here or the top shelf Maytag... whats your opinion?

  • The PRO77 here has been discontinued, but there are still some showing up on Ebay here and there.

If you want a new ISE, go for the Evolution Excel, I am itching for one of those myself!

  • Ahh it has eh? I am just looking for one thats going to do what my parents Maytag did ( ate steakbones and more) but I want something that is 1 "true" horsepower.. I know Maytag is reliable, and ise and Kitchenaid are too so its going to be one of the 3 I think

  • Today's Maytags are made by ISE, so buying a 1hp Maytag would get you the same model as this PRO77

  • Really? Awesome I will keep that in mind when I go shopping over the holidays! Thanks for the info!

  • what other disposals did you test?

  • I have one more to show, a 1989 Waste King, actually made when Waste King was an excellent disposer. The '89 WK is installed at my BF's house. I will try to get a video of it this weekend.

  • cool, looking forward to seeing it.

  • I just bought the ISE "777 SS"... Hope its going to work well

  • Good choice, the works and such are the same as the PRO77 shown here. You should be very pleased with that model

  • Awesome! I gave it a try and it seems like quite the powerhouse! I am going to try and modify the plumbing a bit and add an electric solenoid valve and plumbing to feed lots of cold water directly into the dishwasher drain inlet when the unit is running also!.. Question, why are the waste king models not as good as they used to be? I almost bought one but decided not to because of the comment you made "when waste king WAS good"

  • Old Waste King models were built like tanks, heavy disks and hammers, cast grind rings, under cutter blades, and quiet induction motors. They were excellent performers and lasted for years. Today they are just repackaged variations of Anaheim's permanent magnet disposer, and made mostly of plastic.

The PM motor is also very noisy!

  • rebadged contracted just like everything else these days. that sucks!

  • i saw anaheims website and saw how they boast of "lifetime" warranty over ISE and whatnot. probably need it due to all the plastic and lightweight PM motors.

  • Right on I am happy I have steered clear of a new waste king! I must say so far over the few days I have had my ISE its quite the powerful little machine, completely anhilating anything put into it. Even things you would not normally put down ( paper towels / paper towel rolls, paper coffee trays) this thing sucked in without a hitch! Nxt thing on the menu for a "test" is going to be a steak bone.. Thank you again for the information you have provided!

  • LOL, you're welcome I am glad I could help! I can tell you for certain it will eat the steak bone, just be careful and be sure to cover the mouth some or you will have schrapnel flying out!

  • Shrapnel eh? that will be the FUN part!

  • yeah...the ISE guard is not so hot sometimes. I got a bag of walnuts in the shell for Xmas, I have been feeding the shells to the disposal, and I've had walnut shell schrapnel several times!

  • by the way, what is the hp ratings on this waste king? and it is induction motor powered right? hope to see it soon!

  • The BF's Waste King is 1/2HP, model SS3300 from 1989. It is induction motor, SS disk and hammers, with the cast grind ring.

  • these ISE's will eat anything. also they have quiet induction motors. the permanant brush motors in whirlaways scream in comparison.

  • I like this clip. Strange but fun. Listening to this garbage disposal makes me wanna masturbate. Seriously.

  • Well then by all means have at it!
