  • In Rio, I found the subway system was fantastic and very safe, and 'thumbs up' was OK

  • total nonsense... useless info, sorry to say. And by the way, the video should be called Donts and not dos and donts

  • Do not blink your eyes more than 3 times, don't touch your ears, don't breathe too many times in a row.........damn, what CAN I do? Bad video , makes u not wanna go

  • cool! I really hope you had a great time here, and you'll be always welcome...stereotypes always exist, you have to check to see if its true or not, in this case the video is totally wrong. I've also been is the US last july with an american family and i can tell that i really had a great time, people are very very friendly too. The US is my favorite country ever!!

  • the pics are wonderful, but the subtitles are useless and stupid. You can make the OK sign and take public transportation, or carry jewelry... anyway the guy who made this video is a total asshole!

  • Heres a do for you. do fuck off.

  • I'm in love with Brazil!!!

  • what does okay sign mean?

  • @mi6litvinenko the okay sign here is like ''fuck you''

  • @m4dj4ck4l hahaha thnks....

  • OMG i can't believed they said no to take public trasnportation..... thats all i did for 3 years there !!! dumb people !!!

  • I lived in many different regions of Brazil and travelled all over the country and not even once I stumbled upon an unlicensed taxi.

Official taxi cab drivers just won't allow this and might even get aggressive with anyone messing with their business.

    Want a few good tip?

Buy brazilian clothes as soon as you arrive

Leave your passport at the hotel safe and carry a notorized copy with you.

Take an Engov (available in any drugstore) before drinking to avoid doing stupid shit you'll regret.

  • @ziguirayou Actualy unlicensed taxi is made to not call attention of the fiscalization and police, so for users theres no diference and you will not find difference, they only don´t pay taxes but works like the others.

  • @ramos3x Dude, my dad used to be a cab driver. I don't know where you live, but in Belo Horizonte all cab drivers know each other to some degree and they work along with the police to avoid any unlicensed taxi.

  • Do not make the ok sign with your hand.. ( important)

     ^_^

  • so basically be a little coward...

  • @stephenGunit In fact cowards are those who persecute foreigners, being easy prey.

You do not act like a coward, you reduce the attention on himself no longer a target. Unless you walk around armed ...

  • Do not take public transportation? Nonsense. Anyone who is simply aware of their surroundings will be fine.

  • @snlapin havent u watched bus174

  • @snlapin It´s not only for safety , but public trasport in Brazil is for workers, it´s made to the labor class ,not as discrimination .

  • @ramos3x really, public transportation is made for the labor class? how racist are you? i rode on public transportation in 3 brazilian cities. it was easy, clean and i saw many upper class people using public transportation.

  • @snlapin I´m from Curitiba, and now I´m in Brasilia.

Curitiba is the city model in transportation and is very problematic...

Brasilia is the worst place for public transportation, and today 17/12/2011 the subway is in a strike, and is stopped for better payment to subway workers...

  • @snlapin Is funny to hear that Brazil is not a racist country...

We live in an apartheid society, in two very diferent worlds and not mixed at all.

The cool Brazil is for the rich people and tourists with money.

The dangerous Brazil have a killing rate higher than the Iraq war.

  • @snlapin you re right, almost everything u read on this video is useless, you can get public transportation, make the OK sign or carry jewelry and money...as u said, jus be aware of your surroundings like anywhere else! :)

  • @guilhopearl glad you agree. when i was in brazil i found it to be very safe even taking all public transportation. it was easy to get around and clean. and using beginner's portuguese, people were very friendly and eager to help. i hate when people try to scare you into thinking a foreign place is dangerous. i saw many people with jewelry, using their cell phones and cameras in public and never saw anything threatening.
