  • Very creative mix. Thanks for posting.

  • Its hardly called being a MUSICIAN if you have to ask other people to use their music in your songs. If he was so inspired, he'd cover the songs and make them his own, not use the music and sing over it.

  • i think kid rock is the best out of all 3

  • God are you people stupid or just ignorant????? Kid Rock didn't rip off Sweet Home Alabama or Werewolves of London. He has already said that ihe was given permission to use the music in his song, since it represented what he listened to as a kid. You were "suppose" to think of those songs when you listen to the beginning of All Summer Long!!!!!!!!!!! Here's a thought folks............Don't speak if you don't know what the hell you're talking about!

  • Thanks to the updated version of YouTube, it is now obvious why the Kid Rock version sounds funny. It is in fact not Kid Rock at all. It is rather a cover thingamiaig band called The Pop All Stars. It now says it over by the buy on iTunes button. Not ranting or anything, just pointing out.

  • @dispatcher50100

/watch?v=uwIGZLjugKA - Kid Rock not The Pop All Stars.

That's where I got it from mate, not ranting either, just pointing it out.

  • Kid Rock should write his own music. Short of the he should have his tongue cut out for the way he raped two timeless classics. fucking punk!

  • @MrIDKnow Too right!

  • I knew this the first time I heard it and started singing Werewolves. Today you can copy any song, put your own words to it and win national awards for mimicry- Kid rock won CMT award for wild video, and Lady GaGa won MTV music award for Madonna's song "Express Yourself"/ "Born This Way." With all the covers, apparently originality has lost its meaning.

  • I'm just going to be saying the same thing as "imsomelicious04" and "Belablasco" a part from a few bits were the transition is a bit hard on the ears (7:28) I really love this mishmach of these songs. Of course I love Werewolves a bit more because it's the original one, but people have got to calm down and just appreciate the music sometimes.

  • This is very well done. The guy who made this is probably a pro.

  • I love this mix! thanks

  • That is perfect, nice one!

  • I think this tune is way too overused when you can mix 3 songs that all have the same foundation with little to no variation.

  • Fantastic job with the mix. You're very talented. I enjoyed this very much. Thank you

  • Zevon all the way!

  • Still to this day, when I hear the first few notes, I don't know if I'm gonna hear Warewolves or All summer Long... so annoying how similar they are!

  • warren zevon <kynard skynard <<<<<<<<<<<<<kid rock

  • Warren Zevon is a great artist. Anyone out there who thinks that of Kid Rock can piss off.

  • Zevon followed by Lyn

    Never kid rock

  • I was at a store one day, and the music was on some random station. I didn't like the music, but then I heard "Werewolves Of London" come on. Then I thought "at least they play some good music," but then I realized that it was Kid Rock's "All Summer Long............."

  • Supreme Court "Pretty Woman" only change from the original was the "Pretty Woman" walking down the street was a hooker. Only difference. Good enough, protected as "satire".

  • Ever cool! thanks , very good

  • Brilliantly done - been trying to find clear ways to demonstrate how blatently Zevon and Kid Rock ripped off Lynyrd Skynyrd for about a year now, and you just pulled it off perfectly - though Kid Rock does at least acknowledge the original, and, let's face it, Zevon's is better than the original LOL

  • @MagickTemple zevon wrote it out before sweet home alabama came out. the song was just released after, so him and skynard wrote it around the same time.

  • @UserUK201 ahhhh see that makes me very happy :) Thanks for the info

  • You can convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at audiogetnow..com

  • Great job Bro!

  • can't beat Zevon's.

  • It's a common three-chord riff. "Can't You See" by Alabama; "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin....

  • I hate kid rock.

  • Kid Rock's song might not be all that good, but you made song worth listening to. And it might just show Kid's fans that Warren is a genius.

  • kid rock is a talentless rip off artist who uses other great artists work to make his shitty, white trash, garbage music. fuck him

  • Werewolves Of London was released in 1978. Sweet Home Alabama was released in 1974. All Summer Long was released in 2008. Kid Rock simply made another great song out of 2 classic tunes.

  • Your mix falls under the "fair use" clause of the Copyright Law. You are creating a NEW piece of art using "segments" of original published art, not just reproducing it. Maybe that's why they haven't shut you down. I think you did a great job. Kudos.

  • @ottoelperro They did shut it down, three times. I finally got it up mentioning those things. =)

  • @ottoelperro Yes, I love it!

  • The crazy censorship on YT must STOP! The video & sound quality is not the best & if anything they are getting free advertizing to buy the CD or DVD.

  • Love the way you mixed them!!!

  • Kid Rock ripped off Warren Zevon and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Werewolves of London and Sweet Home Alabama simply have similar riffs; Werewolves relies more on piano while Alabama relies more on guitar/bass. All Summer Long just robs both of them. Both are great, classic songs and are catchy as hell and Kid Rock stole from Zevon and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

  • @Andy1Emcee "Kid Rock ripped off Warren Zevon "

No, Warren Zevon is credited as one of the songwriters. So is Gary Robert Rossington and Ronnie Van Zant. Paying royalties is not robbing.

  • why does the vocals sound wierd?

  • @beatle0922 - Sounds fine to me. I had to compress it to upload it though. I got a decent sound system here for my pc and it sounds fine to me.

  • @Md2oo3 no everything sounds good its just kid rocks vocals sounds odd

  • @beatle0922 - Again, sounds fine to me. Must have ripped a lesser quality version than you are used to, who knows. I've always thought Kid Rock's vocals sound odd, but i'm not a fan of his anyway.

  • @beatle0922 - here's where i ripped it from, official kid rock channel: /watch?v=uwIGZLjugKA

  • @Md2oo3 Oh well anyways its good anyways, very nice mix!!!

  • Everybody learned something from everybody somewhere in our lives -that's a fact !

  • If you have forgotten how horrible his voice sounds, check it out here:

    ...youtube com/ watch?v=uwIGZLjugKA

  • TravisG06, no need for the language. You comment removed.

It is Kid Rock, end of debate.

    Link above in previous post.

  • That's not Kid Rock singing his part for All Summer Long, it sounds absolutely nothing like him.

  • When i was working a couple summers ago "all summer long" came on the radio and i got really excited and told my co-workers to listen to the song and then out of nowhere it turned from zevon to kidd rock, and i died a little inside

  • Warren Zevon: 1

    Lynyrd Skynyrd: 1

Kid rock: 0 and minus ten for ripping off two good songs to make a crappy one.

  • @Iamvalcristvalentine i wish i could thumbs up this 100 times

  • This is so easy a caveman could have done it!

Seriously, anyone who lived through the 70's and listened to the first 16 bars of All summer long and didn't hear Warren Zevon should not be allowed to choose music.

  • Where is all the bitterness coming from MD2oo3? "Sampling" the practice of taking the words or music from another song is probably older than you are. Anyone with even one unburned out brain cell and a modicum of rock history knowledge knows that Kid Rock took Werewolves of London. I mean how could you NOT? When i first heard the song I laughed at how he combined two great songs into an "original" lol. Had to mess with the speed of Sweet Home though to make it match didn't you lol? (more above)

  • Never said that practice wasn't older than I am. The speed, not by much. Just a little push along now and then to get it in.

  • love the mix. Kid Rock actually suprised me with that song and i hated it on principle at first, but now i realize its actually a good song but the way you blended all three together is exellent. A+

  • You had me until the very last frame- the last title frame shown.

What may have been a real homage to Warren, both from Kid Rock and you, turned into a silly pissing contest.

I was lucky enough to spend a few fleeting moments with Warren on his trips to Aspen- I think if he could have heard Kid Rock's All Summer Long, he'd have smiled.

He probably would have enjoyed your video, too- until the last comment. He wasn't wired that way.

    Nice job of mixing.

  • @HollywoodWalkofFame

There was no mention of it being a homage from Kid Rock to Warren; it was about fast quick cash. End of story.

Thanks for the comments, the end comment on the video stays, as it is true to form and informs all those that didn't realise it was ripped (mostly younger people who would flock to my shop to buy this track without realising it was a re-hash of something better).

  • Werewolves Of London and Sweet Home Alabama win because they are the original.

All Summer Long, meh, don't even get me started on that version.

  • I kinda like this mix..I would have to say I like Werewolves of London the best, then Sweet Home Alabama then All Summer Long..but they sound great mixed together!

  • I kind of like Werewolves of London the best too.

  • @imsomelicious04 I definantly agree . They all sound Great !

  • Md2oo3 your mix is absolutely brilliant. I am stunned by how well done it is. Thanks for confirming my feeling that I "heard it before", several times.

  • Thanks Belablasco. It's a shame that a lot of the young ones still don't realise it's an old one.

  • This mix contains way to much Kid Rock IMHO xD

  • This video was disabled by You Tube. It irritates me that all three of these videos are freely available on You Tube and that's what I used, their content. I just mixed them all together to show a comparison of the three. Come on You Tube, if you disable this video, disable EVERY VIDEO WITH THESE THREE SONGS IN!

  • And if WMG wants credit for something, fine by me. Put their logo up there. Their Advert. Whatever. Credit to WMG. Happy yet Youtube?

  • If you like this mix of all three, better download it before YouTube decide to disable it again and leave all the rest enabled.

  • ok we all know that kid rock used the piano lick by warren zevon but dont say he is a piece of shit for using it. He probably herd it said thats real good and put some words to it. Nowadays its impossible to make music that doesnt sound like something in the past Dont say that he sucks and for the people who say warren zevon is so much better we all know he was a way better musician Look at all summer long as almost a tribute song to warren. Kid rock is very talented as well so dont say he sucks

  • Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and in my opinion, he sucks.

  • i really dont think you can say that anyone sucks when they have that many hits and fans thats my opinion you have to at least respect him for mixing rock with rap and being one of the first to do it and make it popular

  • Mate, read again:

EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION.

End of debate. You cannot tell me nor anyone else what my opinion is to be, so can it. Have your own opinion, fine. Don't tell me mine.

  • i think kid rock should have written his own song and showed some actual talent instead of ripping off one of the greatest rock singers ever, who happens to be dead

  • i know he is a retard

  • very much so

  • Only if Kid Rock did do something within his track to pay tribute to Werewolves of London. A visual of himself turning into a Werewolf, or even him doing an 'aaa-ooo' would have been enough for most of us to know that he acknowledges, respect and pays tribute to the originals. But he didn't. :-(

  • ...and we all know Kid Rock Aaa-Ooo'd all the way to the bank...

Just the other day my nephew asked me if I was listening to kid rock's song in my truck... on a brighter note he's now a Zevon fan!

  • LOL. Exactly!

Awesome, there's a couple of best of Zevon albums out there too that he probably would love to look in to.

  • okay let's get this shit straight kid rock ripped off warren zevon since he's the eldest artist on here and, sweet home alabama was worked in cause rock a big fan of theirs

  • too bad Sweet Home Alabama isn't in the same key as WWOL and ASL. Then you could make a really sweet mix.

  • This song is so cool. No song is better just some parts arn't as good.

  • SWEET HOME ALABAMA

  • omg kill Kid Rock D:<

Get your own tunes and words you scum.

  • I work in a music shop, you'd be surprised how many youngsters bought Kid Rocks track without even knowing or even caring about where it came from. Mad me so sad. :-'(

  • always thought they were simalar.

"all summer long" by kid rock proves it.

  • omg this is gay he pretty much ripped them both off

  • Of course you meant that they both ripped him, Lynard, off.

  • all great songs and singers very confusing vid. i wonder which one created the beat first, Lynard or Warren? i would like an answer please.

  • Lynard, 3-4 years earlier.

  • This is horrendous!!!

  • dude! wtf's wrong with kid rocks version it sounds all weird

  • That's the Kid Rock version I downloaded from YouTube. Same one I see on TV here. It's just Kid Rock mate, he sucks.

  • That wasn't kid singing at 0:54 or even at any of his parts. Thats wierd

  • Kind of what a mix is in a way. ;) Mixing it in and out, seeing if people can pick things here and there.

  • Someone needs to get rid of kid rock at his shitty label, if for no other reason than ripping off skynyrd an warren zevon, not to mention rhyming things with things. HORRIBLE!

  • Rest in Peace Warren Zevon.

  • he died?

  • Yep, he died on September 7th, 2003 due to cancer or somethin' when he was 56 years old in Los Angeles.

  • Who died?

  • Warren Zevon

  • This is a totally cool mash-up. Could you do it again but with Lynard in the same tempo and key? That'd totally rock. I'd like to try this, two singers, one for Warren, the other for Kid Rock, combined for Lynard.

    Fun stuff dude!

  • I could but not going to. It's hard enough to listen to Kid Rock even in this mix, let alone attempt to mix him in again.

  • K Rock has been selling the shit out of albums for 10 years now!!! where have you been livin???!!! ggogle him ounce to see...idiot

  • now now, breathe...

  • Theres no air...too many idiots in the world taking it all

  • Ain't that the truth.

  • Kid who?

  • love it soo true

  • I think Kid Rock has passed the One Hit Wonder mark after his 2nd, 3rd, 4th....etc hits.

  • love it, its really three songs that he has, all summer long, werewolves of london, and sweet home alabama

  • 2 great songs...kid rock ripped off and ruined

  • I love this version/mashup - WICKED!
