  • until any of these idiots complaining here about the bad sound, upload a better and remastered version of this rare historical document, i beg you please not to bitch about it and enjoy it for what it is.

  • :)

  • Remember it was a recording from someone in the audience

  • In Paris . 1984 . The 90125 tour . It was a last minute thing . This is a bootleg Recording . It was a blast .

  • when the hell did this happen?

  • This sounds like CRAP! Pointless musical anarchy.

  • @swiggy58a

You know bootlegs just don't sound that great . It was a good gig .

  • look up xyz here on youtube, 4 songs with page, squire and white, the collaberation that was supposed to be a new super group.

  • horrible...

  • THAT was weird...Poor Jimmy...his playing was already falling apart here. The vocals are pretty rockin for Yes though~

  • @101AOK. I was replying to the comment b4 mine about how awful the recording was!! I'm a Yes freak n Jimmy is by far my favorite guitarist!!!! Sorry for the misunderstanding:(

  • that's about as bad a recording one could come up with. If ANY idiot is even THINKING of making a comment...just don't. I can't believe someone even took the time to offer this ANYWHERE! You can't make a judgement on nothingness. I could hear Jon was in key. That's about it. This is just not worth anything. I shut it down by bar 7. Then went to the bar. It's nothing. Scheesh!

  • back when i was 10 years old i played a better i'm down then this mess

    I'M REALLY DOWN

  • horrid! I love Yes and like Page.. and this stinks.

  • This is pretty pitiful.

  • Love it !!!

  • I love Jimmy Page and I also love Yes, but this sounds like a train wreck!

  • both artists worst years...musicially in my opinion.

  • Who gives a fuck it's Jimmy & Yes

  • @MrJeffyh I do. They deserve a good presentation even if it is bootleg. This is just Fn sad! I love those players and this just shouldn't have been bothered with. I would rather hear them tell me how great the concert was, than to HEAR that. It makes it sound like you should not go to see them. bad.

  • this a very bad audience recording. Done on a micocassette recorder and you expect it to sound epic???? It was the 2nd encore, they were just jamming and screwing around JEEZ!

  • @jpirard they were playing and singing quite well. This recording just should NOT have been made. Well, NOT have been Internetized anyway.

  • Sounds like a herd of stampeding elephants trying to escape from the Lincoln Tunnel

  • 聴けて良かった。ありがとうございます。

  • Thanks So Much for uploading - it's always great to hear "rare" YES. In my opinion Trevor Rabin is terrible and Jimmy, although the perfect picture of a "rocker" is know for being a little sloppy live, but, still great to hear this. Thanks Again

  • kaye is not a good player in my opinion and rabin it's not at his best, the sound is poor and the mix really sounds like anyone of us would've done it. despite all that I LOVE THIS there's a lot of adrenalin and passion. i would've love to see a version of the classic yes lineup (white squire anderson howe WAKEMAN) and mr jimmy page

God (Jimi hendrix) save the beatles yes and led zeppelin

  • I saw Yes back in the late 70's and they did "I'm Down" as the encore.

  • Well,if that is the case and it is Rabin it is still BAD-ASS!!!Howe is still one of the under-rated axe-men of his,or any other, time.I've seen all three of these guys and Howe is the only one out of the three that I have never seen make a mistake on stage.I am sure he has,but not like Page:who is famous for gettin so high that he goes to hit a chord and misses the guitar completely, and most observers dont care,HA!!!I never did,I was just glad to be in the building.

  • Howe and Jimmy riffin together WOWO!!! This is bad-ass!!!interestin choice for a song to play!Howe is one of the over-looked greats! He never misses a note when he plays "Yours is no disgrace" LIVE,the guy ROCKS even when Anderson sounds like he is havin an asthma attack.Jimmy is Jimmy and it don't get better than him kids!FACT.

  • @towncarguy04 Actually, Steve Howe wasn't with Yes when this took place. This is from the 9012live tour and Trevor Rabin was the guitarist for Yes.In fact, Trevor is the one who introduces Page to the audience in this audio.

  • @saurian11 R u sure it wasn't Billy Sherwood?I have it on good authority Rabin didn't tour for that record.it definetly ain't Howe....

  • @towncarguy04 I'm 100% sure that it was Trevor Rabin. Billy Sherwood didn't start doing gigs with YES until the 90's. Why wouldn't Trevor be on tour for this album? It was the first album (90125) that he did with YES, so of course he toured with them. 2 more facts: Trevor is on the 9012live DVD, which was the last date of that tour. I saw Yes during that tour in March of 84 (in Chicago), and Rabin was the guitarist. So there you have it.

  • @saurian11 I do not know the answer to your question. If you saw the tour and Rabin was the guitarist,CCC-OOO-OOO-LLL!!!Rabin din't like touring and he was replaced on the road because of it.Rabin is a gr8t guitarist. He is however,IMHO,too concerned w/how many notes he can squeeze into 12 bars rather than how the lead "feels",like Howe does. When that CD came out was when I stopped listening to them coz Howe wasn't on it.Too commercial sounding.I hope they got rich n didnt get robbed like....

Lassen Sie uns hoffen Sie so. Wie hast du diese audio-Track?

  • definitely sounds like page. and beatles. really awesome video! thanks for finding it!

  • I was there !

  • JIMMY PAGE SHOULD COVER THE BEATLES hELTER SKELTER THE TRUE FIRST HEAVY METAL SONG

  • While its not quite right, I'm sure its unrehearsed and if I had been there- I would have been thrilled to death!

  • jimmy should have sung this

  • See - No One can Properly Cover The Beatles. If GrandMaster Page can't do it - there's not a chance for anyone else.

  • WELL..................

    ...........hmmmm...........

lets just look at it as them justs goofing off & just playing unrehearsed ,FOR THE FUN OF IT !!!

    rite?

(cause if they wanted to show u they could do this WELL, im sure they could NAIL IT,)

  • hahaha despues dicen que zeppelin no tiene nada que ver con THE BEATLES!!!

  • I love the Beatles, Yes and Led Zeppelin, but, there are some things that should not be combined. Very sloppy, out of tune and the tempo kept changing. What WERE they thinking???

  • @AdamsApple1963 Probably "hey let's have some fun."

  • Sometimes even the greatest have to realize they're attempting something above their ability. And that some artists such as Beatles and Zeppelin should stay separated.

  • quite the carnalophagus ya got dere

  • oh, thank you so much!

  • what the fuck was this.

  • haha was Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten on stage with 'em !?! this sucks outta tempo and tune big time! But Jimmy is the greatest the same !!

  • what were they thinking?

  • Jimmy Page having a play with Yes is certainly an intriguing idea. However, as this audio clip demonstrates, an intriguing idea can sometimes in reality turn out to be a right AWFUL idea.

  • @ClitDoris Maybe it's just a bad audio mix?

  • @kettlezone You think "it's just a bad audio mix"? I think NOT!

  • @ClitDoris after bonham died, plant and page started jamming with chris squire and alan white and came real close to forming another super group, but sadly it didnt work out, they were very serious and it almost happened, who knows what great music those guys could have made together, imagine page playing lead with squire playing lead bass right along with him, supposedly page has recordings of those jams and some of it was phenominal!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @ClitDoris i didnt know you were there asshole, i said after bonzo died, i didnt say the next day, they did jam together, and i read an interview with the engineer that worked in the studio they were playing in and he did say that some of the music was brilliant, A QUOTE!!! Im a huge zeppelin fan, i saw them opening night here in NYC on 6/7/77, ive seen page with the firm, with the black crowes, plant solo 3 times, and i even met jimmy at ricks bar in key west in '98, so EAT IT!!!

  • @jroxx11211 Thanks for suggesting that I should "eat it." However, I must reject that suggestion on the grounds that, if I were to follow any suggestions from you, I'd only become a HIDEOUS MORON just like YOU!!!

  • @ClitDoris Great retort, i state facts and the best you have is to call me a moron, c'mon, is that all you have? someone as opinionated as you must have something intelligent to contribute to the forum???

  • Comment removed

  • @jroxx11211 Thanks for pointing out that my response to your comments was a "great retort." 'Tis a pity, however, that the same cant be said about any of your extraordinarily DOPEY comments!

  • @ClitDoris the great was rhetorical, c'mon, is dopey all you got, how about being intellectually challenging? thats what an open forum is all about, 2 people expressing opinions and fostering debate. i know you must be more intelligent than hideous moron and dopey, wheres that razor sharp wit and striking conversation i expected of you. i thought you were going to be a worthy adversary and state your side with facts instead of a personal attack that just highlighted your immaturity .

  • @jroxx11211 Your desire to be "intellectually challenged" strongly suggests that you should attempt to think with your brain rather than with your ARSE!

  • @ClitDoris haaaaaaaaa, oh your killing me!!! think with your arse!!! what a wit!!! i guess my 143 IQ is just too much for you, c'mon little clitty, dig down deep and let me really see what you've got, you can do better than that!!! or can you???

  • @jroxx11211 I've no idea what you've written on your latest message, as I didn't bother to read it all. But don't worry...you've my permission to continue to waste your MEAGER MENTAL ENERGY to write and post more of your IDIOTIC comments that I will never, ever bother to read!

  • @ClitDoris yea, i figured you couldnt handle it, just not smart enough, nice talkin to ya sweetie!!!

  • @jroxx11211 The Squire & White combo is probably one of the tightest rhythm units in the rock world (Feetwood/McVie champing at their heels...rather different sort of rock though). They could make anyone sound good...even the Plant/Page thing. I'm resigning from my YT account immeadiately after this post as my inbox won't be able to cope with the traffic of protestation! IQ of 143 huh? Almost grossly smart. I'm messing all the way down the line here. Sack of salt needed when I speak.....

  • @Rikk303 i agree 100%, i saw yes back in the day, at madison sq. garden, in '77, then saw anderson, bruford, wakeman and howe, then saw the reformed yes and loved it each time, chris squire is the most incredible bass player alive, aside from john entwhistle, who's obviously not alive, but who left a gigantic legacy behind. theres a few songs here on youtube under led zeppelin/yes, they're instrumental, but show the promise of what could have been!

  • @jroxx11211 I think it was about '71 I first heard Yes, on Top of The Pops when they did an album track...Your's Is No Disgrace...I was into Moogs at the time and Rick was as good as Emerson...bought the Yes Album and a few more but ignored the embarrassing bits. Bruford is incredible, his crisp snare-work was one of the things that made my ears perk up...along with Chris of course. Not keen on Chris when he solos, I listen to his lines a lot when he's not. Steve is Steve and Jon is Jon

  • @jroxx11211 Yeah, Going for the One tour! Thrilled when they played "Close to the Edge" hm? :)

  • @Rikk303 that music i referred to was XYZ, for ex yes and ex led zeppelin, look it up and listen to the songs, theres 4 i believe, they''re not bad.

  • @ClitDoris Bet Steve threw a right hissy fit when he had to share the stage with another guitarist! This is truly dire.....Yes have done some weird things in the past but this has me blushing on their behalf

  • @Rikk303 Your comments concerning Steve Howe are, unfortunately, quite spot-on. For the reality is that, though he is an extraordinarily talented musicians, Steve Howe is also an extraordinarily flawed human being.

  • I may be the biggest Jimmy Page you'll ever meet, and I like Yes, but this just doesn't work. Even so, cool find...

  • actually i take that last comment back just listened to "shea "version ,,,they're both crappppp

  • what drugs were responsible for this shit .. they pick it up a bit towards the end ...but the beatles live version kicks the shit out of this and they were using "toy" amps compared to what would've been used here ok the lead solo is interesting but really!!!!

  • Very very cool. Thank you!

  • the beatles should be honored that Page is playing in tribute to them............

  • I love Yes and Pagey, but I don't know about this. It's ok. Either the quality isn't good, or their musical differences don't fit well together. But it sounded the worst in the begininng.

    Just sayin'.

  • what a mess

  • i love Led Zep, and Yes both very much.

    But this is terrible.

  • Interesting, but i didn't like it ...

  • Read an article years ago by one of the old Melody Maker writers (Chris Welch I think..?) who was allowed in to a Led Zep rehearsal preparing for a world tour. He sat through the band work their way through the Elvis songbook as a warm up......! Would have loved to have witnessed that. Never forget where all these bands got their inspiration from (musical - not substance...)

  • @ahpollyolly yea ,woulda loved to hear that

  • WINRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR

  • pimpin

  • wow Jimmy doing the Fab!!

    hiya Jimmy

  • GREAT !!

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting this. It's very interesting, and (even taking the way it was recorded into account, i.e. imagining better sound quality from a 'clean' PA recording), not a great performance.

I think that George said more in his original 30 second solo, than Jimmy says here in several attempts.

    Thanks once again

  • Speechless in Manhattan!

  • Wow!

  • i'm proud of my added song xD lmao

Jimmy doing The Beatles!!! awsum :D

  • zeppelin did money, slow down, please please me, and from me to you. they're all here on youtube.

  • thanks for the info (thumb up)

  • @iamtheeggman100 - I searched youtube for zep doing please please me and from me to you - no luck at all. I find it VERY hard to believe they really did those songs.

  • @LODGE4444 i got them on my favs

  • indeed, and "i saw her standing there" was referenced by zeppelin in live medleys

  • @iamtheeggman100 Nice.. Can u send me unless 1 link for this? :)

Thanks for the info :D I LOVE LED!

  • @iamtheeggman100 I always wanted to know which beatles songs led zeppelin covered. As far as I've known they only ever mention "I saw her standing there" in 1969 I think.
