They're both beautiful women, and they can both sing, even if some prefer one style of singing over another. It honestly breaks my heart a little to see people arguing over which one is 'better'. I think that music is a beautiful thing meant to be enjoyed, not insulted. People put their love and imagination into it, and that's what we should be looking for in a band, not just a good singer.

If Anette just stopped singing songs that were famous sung by Tarja the holywars would stop simultaneously - no comparison, no accusations, no arguments. @jwdoggs Very well said! Just once I would love to see any of the haters get in front of 40,000 people and pour their hearts and souls into the music. Maybe when they get laughed or booed of the stage they will realize just how much talent and determination musicians need to get the kind of following Nightwish has. In the studio, a good engineer can make almost anyone with marginal ability sound ok, but only the most dedicated professional musicians sound this good in front of a live audience.

If Anette just stopped singing songs that were famous sung by Tarja the holywars would stop simultaneously - no comparison, no accusations, no arguments. Anette can sing well and she looks quite well on stage but she will be always compared to Tarja, no way out of this, guys. I prefer Tarja. She will be the voice of Nightwish for me forever... There is no that magic beauty among them anymore, and it`s very sad...

@jwdoggs Very well said! Just once I would love to see any of the haters get in front of 40,000 people and pour their hearts and souls into the music. Maybe when they get laughed or booed of the stage they will realize just how much talent and determination musicians need to get the kind of following Nightwish has. In the studio, a good engineer can make almost anyone with marginal ability sound ok, but only the most dedicated professional musicians sound this good in front of a live audience.
