A slogan for this would be "It does exactly what it says on the tin." NOW (notice the shout) one of the reason i didn't like this film was because it's spat in the face of Stoker by giving the name Vampires to glowing fairies with many of the vampire characteristics lacking. Many people might feel the same way as me.

The stuff I said earlier are things people don't notice as much as the obivious crap and that if they taken the sparkling vampires out of the movies and books, it would still fail as a romance compared to many of the great Romances starting from Romeo and Juliet. With Romeo and Juliet they managed to balance Drama and romance without one trying to out shadow the other.

There have been many stories prior to Twilight that do make a big deal about vampires loving humans such as the Anne Rice series..
