@astoria3011 Oops, I didn´t realize you were shooting with the GH1, sorry. Yep, I think it must be great having f/4 in the longer range too, but I cannot find any video with people shooting this lens in ETC mode, not sure why...
the panning is amazing with the wide angle. the swaying is possibly a result of too much ballast weight, but swinging the camera quickly in a wide arc and stopping will result in irratic sway, just the same as if you are running and come to a sudden halt the camera will tilt up. The subject is an excellent choice too. I'd love to see more practice of this type on youtube. keep at it.
This is the first day of trying my newly acquired Steadicam Merlin. It was a little windy too. Should get more stable as I get used to and improve Merlin set up and operation. Any comments , questions welcomed!

I like this effect a lot, but I´m also thinking about shooting in ETC mode, getting a 35-70mm or so. Have you tried it?

@1650million ETC mode on GH2 is amazing!! It's full 1080P/i or 720P.
