  • Colin Dunne and Jean Butler are THE best pairing in dance!! Jean is cool, talented, gorgeous and Colin is straight, sexy and collaborative... the ultimate fairytale pair!

  • Michael left Riverdance because he couldn't have 100% control over creative content. Thank goodness! Colin Dunne is a better dancer and much more connected to his partner than Michael ever was! He's won more than any male titles than any male Irish dancer (including Michael) for good reason too!

  • Me either prefer Colin Dunne to Michael Flatley. He´s good, but Colin´s expression is just amazing- especially together with Jean Butler- Have you seen Dancing on Dangerous groend? THAT IS AWESOME :)

In this Video (from the Radio City Hall NY I love the whole performance- and I think, Maria Pges is a goddess in Flamenco :)

I also like the other dancers of Riverdance (Geneva and live from Beijing).

  • who cares if the man has a big ego. LOOK AT HIS DANCING! i would too! lol. and she seems to be having fun so who cares! your still watching it so it's not hurting profits any is it lol

  • To CaribSami-I had heard that Michael Flatley had danced so much that he ruined his feet and ended up in a wheelchair, and began to teach dance instead. I don't know if he's still teaching today.

  • amazing

  • I really love her !

    She is amazing

Thank you very much for this so emotionnal moment

  • This is IT.The great show ever.I've seen it 3 times and i would it again! There is no compare between Colin and Flatley.

  • As regards dancing Colin would eat Flatley for breakfast

  • @liamg353 Flatley would soon punch his way out of Colin's stomach!

  • Colin Dunne likes Jean more than he likes himself...not so for Flatley.

  • @spahjrp Leave Michael alone!

  • @Rkerekes13 Good dancer (Micheal) but a bit too self-absorbed. Colin's better (dancer and partner). I stand by my post.

  • @spahjrp I understand, but I don't think Michael's that self-absorbed. Besides, I think Michael and Colin are both equally good. What do you say to that?

  • @Rkerekes13 Micheal is one helluva dancer but I didn't really appreciate the charisma between the two lead dancers until I saw Colin and Jean do the same show. Colin sees her as an equal...Micheal saw her as his underling...BIG difference and the performance shows that. However...Micheal would probably be considered "cuter"...so...there ya go.

  • @spahjrp I find it hard to believe that Michael saw her as his underling.

  • Michael Flatley is a legend in his own mind.

  • @jscottupton I agree with you 100%.

  • Do all Celtic women look like Maureen O' Hara, Rhonda Fleming, Nicole Kidman and Jean Butler?

  • Flatley is (was? haven't seen him lately) a great dancer. To judge artists by their personalities would be to condemn the world's greatest painters, musicians, writers, etc. Humility & team spirit don't always accompany great talent. In fact, I'd hazard that those qualities rarely do. Still, as much as I enjoyed Flatley's dancing, his performance would have been more engaging without all the macho preening. Thankfully, Colin Dunne has no need to indulge in such nonsense.

  • I'm really sorry and no offense but the woman seems kinda scary

  • excellent

  • I think they're both equal in skill, but Michael Flatley seems really arrogant and selfish to me and this is why I prefer Colin Dunne :)

  • Actually, this is "Heartbeat of the World." Firedance is the one where Maria has the bright red dress.

  • @missbeatrix1 haha actually its acapella ;) haha :P

  • @missbeatrix1 haha actually its acapella ;) haha :P

  • The line moves as one, fantastic.

  • colin dunne and jeanne butler , the best irish dance has ever seen ...

  • I pinched this from my friend. Fire and Water - Opposites - but water loves to be warmed up, but saying that if fire gets too passionate and out of control - it can always be dampened down lol. Very fiery and passionate combination. Great Post.

  • Michael Flatley ruined the IRISH dance with Celtic Tiger. (Of course, stripping flight attndants are TYPICALLY irish) Gah, that was DIS. GUS. TING.

Colin Dunne is the best dancer of IRISH Step!!!!!!

  • speechles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I often hear Colin Dunne and Michael Flatley share the crown for Best Irish Dancer, I thing they are equal in skill, both superb.

  • Colin Dunne is THE BEST!!!

  • Colin Dunne is the best of them all!

  • Noooo Michael Flatley.

  • Michael Flatley is way too showy..Colin Dunne shows you his talent with his feet, not the backround..if I'm making my point..

  • @olympiafencing you really owe to people to qualify your statement. simply saying something's so doen't mean it actually is.

  • Okay...Michael Flatley gets everyone worked up with his stage backround..flashing lights..loud intense music..so he can look a lot better then he really is, and people go crazy over him because of that more then the actual dance....where Colin Dunne doesn't have flashing lights (at least that I've seen), and he doesn't play upbeat music, etc. He really uses his feet to get the crowds attention....I'm not trying to say "I'm right, you're wrong." I'm giving my opinion.

  • to fast for my brain O_O

  • Absolutely fantastic! Good riddance to Michael Flatley, I recognize that he's a good dancer but his ego just ruins it. I could not stand Lord of Dance and Feet of Flames because it was just one huge bow-down to Lord Flatley. Colin Dunne was the best!

  • @Evessal I disagree with you 100%!

  • @Evessal Michael Flatley's ego did NOT ruin it! And his ego's not that big!

  • breathtaking! they're very agile almost as if they're skating on ice!

  • I just got a neeeeeeeeeeeeeew role model!

    <:S

    Dx

THEY MAKE IT LOOK SO EEEEEASSSYYYYYYYYYYY <x'(

  • talented but she's a two-bagger if ever i saw one!

  • holy shit theyre good!

  • A msg from a Palestinian Girl:

oooohhh my God, i love the way Colin moves. H e is amazingggggggg.

i love irelaaaaand, i love irish, and i love riverdancing, God bless their country

  • my testicles jump with excitment evey time i watch jean

  • Love how this video is. I think I watched it on dvd from the public library. It was soo cool to watch how their feet can go so fast and their precision. thnx for posting this up.

  • DID COLIN DUNNE GO TO TRINITY IRISH DANCE COMPANY? thanks! this is amazing! <3 <3

  • This is just awesome, I wanna be Jean Butler!!!!

  • me gustan las dos cosas el flamenco y el river dance, pero la mezcla de ambos no me termina convencer.

me parece que cada uno es su espiritu dice cosas iguales pero de manera diferente

  • I greatly prefer Colin Dunne to Michael Flatley. His dancing seems so much more sincere. Although Michael Flatley is still a great dancer.

  • yer, i agree

  • I've been graced with having lessons with colin. When we were doing our second class, an advanced hardshoe class, there was a little girl who was upset that she hadnt gotten the step right. Colin got down on his knees, gave her a big hug, told her it was ok and worked with her exclusively for about 20 minutes. She nailed the steps after that. Colin is amazingly humble and even better in real life than he is on the screen. His teaching style is amazing too! :) ^^

  • I am so jealous of you!!!!!! You are unbelievably lucky :)

  • Believe me it was an amazing experience. I dunno if he's still doing workshops but I think they're only offered to dancers...which is a huge benefit to dance!

  • i found his classes really good too! the part with the dancing cucumber is amazing, or was that something else?

  • Dearest Lady...No need to be jealous .. simply merge into THAT experience and be ONE with it. : ) Let their JOY be your own. Namaste

  • I agree as well, he is humble. That makes the difference.

  • @eiredance92 I greatly prefer Michael Flatley to Colin Dunne. Michael's dancing seems just as sincere.

  • also, the number performed by the Riverdance troupe is called Heartland. Again, the Riverdance number comes earlier.

  • Firedance comes earlier in the show. i think the number performed here by Maria Pages is called Andalucia or something to that effect. the uploader probably just got confused becomes they're both performed by the same dancer. and firedance is flamenco, not tango

  • Definitely the best version.

  • Riverdance has different music, the part with the drums and stuff is heartland

  • Fire dance is the first part, and then the next is Heartland

  • This isn't fire dance.

Fire Dance is a Tango piece.

    Please Label Correctly.

  • you're right, firedance comes earlier. but firedance isn't tango; it's flamenco.

  • Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuv Riverdance...

    *-*

  • I love this but it isn't Firedance.

This is a proformance from Riverdance.

  • To be honest, I don't think this is Firedance; I think it's Riverdance. Firedance has a totally different tune, and Maria Pages' part doesn't have any tune.

  • Well technically Firedance is Riverdance..

    It's from Riverdance anyway..

    But as you said..

    This is definately not Firedance

  • Yeah, it's definitely the Riverdance troupe; I think this is the number the Riverdance troupe does that's also called "Riverdance", because it's not Firedance.

  • Maria Pages with the guitar and band and without all that talking and extra people is great. And why are there Korean subtitles?

  • OK, this is weird. THE whole finale I have seen it almost the same, but instead of Dunne, there is Flatley on it....could someone explain to me.....??

  • As far as I know - this is a production of Riverdance group. And Flatley worked there in his earlier times. But later he got into his own production (doing shows like Lord of the Dance, Firedance, Celtic Tiger, etc..). So Riverdance group kept running this show with other dancers like Colin Dunne/Jean Butler.

    Hope I am correct.

  • Thank you! :)

  • @castillosaire

Then you were lucky enough to have seen the original finale. But personally, I prefer the one with Colin, because he tends to be more willing to share the stage with Jean, and Michael was stuck up and just flaked out on his teammates to start his own production right before a performance! Luckily, Colin saved the show! ;)

  • Isn't it Jean Butler, not Jane Butler?

  • Yeah it is. She looks much happier working with Colin. I think Flatley kinda sucked the life outta her..

  • agreed.

  • Yeah, and he was the main choreographer, so he cut out a lot of the bits that Jean is in here, which I think was really mean. I much prefer Colin/Jean on Riverdance, they are my favourite couple.

  • He only choreographed his parts.

Jean choreographed her little solos and the troupe.

You know those famous bits with the troupe all in unison, like in Heartland and the Riverdance, that was Jean's work.

  • Heartland was choreographed by Michael Flatley , that wasnt Jean's work

  • Like this better than Micheal's version, but the whole show lord of the dance is better than Firedance.

  • This is also Heartbeat of the World and Heartland from Riverdance, not Firedance.

  • That's Maria Pages, not Nelida Tirado.

  • thnks
