For those who don't know, I know. Listen to how you says Hast in "du hast mich gefragt." And listen to when he says, "Du hasst mich." Stronger S sound. Listening to Oomph and Rammstein got me to studying German for a while now.

@zjfox43 this guy (or chick) is right: in the beginning it does indeed sound like he's saying "you hate me"; then he drops the "gefragt" and you realize he meant "du hast mich gefragt" = you asked me. The German language with its weird word order allows such tricks :)

In the English version, which by the way, they are never translations but new songs, he says hate in both parts. It doesn't make sense. However....it's hard to tell which is which if you are only singing du hast/hasst. Also, Rammstein wrote an English version of the song and used "you hate" in the lyrics.
