alot alot of family business move across generations. it would regressive for the gov to yoink half business/accumulated assets - common sense would suggest that would decrease economic momentum and promote economic instability for a lot of people.
Lastly, yes you are by consequence arguing that the taxes paid by the richest americans should be less, and is thus overburdensome. You are arguing to remove the estate tax which only applies to extremely wealthy americans. Ergo. You believe the taxes paid by such is too great. Are you just REALLY dumb and didnt know you were arguing that? Or were u just being disingenuous?
o and by the way im simply going back and forth with you purely for my own entertainment. You lost any real credibilty you had long ago with the flat out lies you told about what you said the death tax was for, which lead me to your page covered in Chomsky radical garbage, the only thing missing was saul alinskys toilet paper.
This is the most disingenuous speech ever. Typical of republicans. If they dont lie they know they will be busted.
"...Has been a drag on family owned small businesses" Wtf is he talking about? You call a 3.5 million dollar business and larger "small family owned?" I dont think so. This is a corporate and large business cash grab if I ever saw one. If having a 3.5 million dollar inheritance isnt enough...you dont deserve a dollar anyways. Laziness is much more harmful to the economy
lol this is COMPLETE bullshit. The estate tax has a tiny effect on small businesses. As the small businesses get a tiny tax rate. No, the only reason this is coming up now is because the wealthiest estates (over 1.5 million) rates are about to go back to 55% from 45%. The wealthy are just lobbying congress to make a big squeal to stop it. Our tax rates are not changing at all, read the bill you idiots.
@boorens18 your an absolute SICK clown if you actaully believe the govt is entitled to more of your lifelong already taxed income you were smart enough to save then you are.....are you kidding me....they put in no risk already tax the shit out of you, and your smart enough and hardworking enough to save money to pass on to your family to give them a better life butt noooooooooooo the govt swoops in and says they are entitled to more of that money than you are......ITS SICK AND YOUR SICK
@aurick7737 Good to see the oppposition doesnt even do their homework. The "death tax" only affects MULTIMILLION DOLLAR ESTATES. Omg is a multi-million dollar freebie not enough for you? You greedy fat suckled pig you do make me sick. Seriously isn't it the republicans who always whine "equal opportunity under capitalism?" This is about greed and nothing more. Once a family member acquires hard earned wealth, the greedy family wants to be able to hoard it. How bout you earn it yourself?
@boorens18 greeedy aer you fucking kidding me....kinda like greedy on behalf of a greedy govt who taxed you on the money already mulitple times and you worked hard enough to pass it along to your family but nooooooo the GREEEDY govt thinks they are entitled to more of your already taxed money then you are....as for earning it on your own do you have any idea the worth of even a small farm....do you have nay idea what america is about.....
@boorens18 your disgusting to say earn it on your own to me a freeebie your fucking kidding me a freebie for the greedy govt who already taxed you now swoop in when you die to steal more money from you. hoarding it who cares it people hoard it IT IS NONE OF YOUR GOD DAMN BUSINESS WHAT THEY DO WITH THERE FAMILYS HARD EARNED MONEY....CAUSE GUESS WHAT FUCK FACE IF THE PERSON WHO LEFT IT TO THEM DIDNT WANT THEM TO HAVE IT THEY WOULDNT HAVE GIVEN IT TO THEM... ITS CALLED CHOICE YOU FUCKIN SCUMBAG
@aurick7737 You DIDNT earn it. Thats precisely the point. The person who died did. Second, you need to pay attention to the HARM it doesn. Gov doesnt just take money for no reason. Its not like the gov gets to line their pockets with it. No gov. officials get their money from LOBBYISTS. Corporations. And EXTREMELY wealthy individuals. If you don't employ a tax, the wealth gets ever more concentrated (wealth buys more) And that hurts the country as a whole. Look at Americas Dist. of wealth
@boorens18 uhhhhh hey asshole again the person who died did earn it and proabbly worked hard to earn it and specifically having in mind to leave something to his family.....so when they die it is their choice to whom that money or estate goes to and it is none of the govts business who or where or how much goes to whoever because bottom line it is already taxed income they were smart enough to save....the govt has zero right to a dime of that money it isnt their money.
@aurick7737 God I can't believe I have to explain this but here goes. A country needs money so the collective must contribute to mutually benefit. Taxes are unpleasant but neccessary. As it stands, the wealthiest pay the LEAST percentage of taxes despite the top 5 wealthiest having over 50% of the countries wealth (bad 4 the economy). The "death tax" is meant to offset this. That is why the tax only applies to the wealthiest. Basically you are saying, screw the country 1.5 milion isnt enough.
@boorens18 your a dumbass for real dude if you really knew what you were talking about with all this offset and balance shit that not a single person at my university employer(federal govt) couldnt hear without laughing. in fact what i found out is the money taken in is less than 2% of our income and in fact does absolutly nothing since over 90% of the revenue taken in by this tax goes to supporting the division of the irs that is responsible for overseeing it. so take your lies elsewhere.
@boorens18 i love how you cry about the rich having it easy on taxes and its so unfair.....boo hoooo first of all most poor people do not pay taxes at all, 2nd where did you get these garbage numbers...here is actual factual numbers from the IRS (The top 5% of earners pay 53.25%) (The top 10% of earners pay 64.89%) (The top 50% of earners pay 96%) The top 10% of mean awful rich people account for almost 3/4 of all govt revenue!
@aurick7737 Quite frankly you demonstrate over and over you have a very simple minded understanding of economoics. You've been so distracted by rightwing talking points, you missed the purpose of the tax. Politicis isnt about right vs left anymore, Its about Corporations vs people. Again this doesnt affect any of middle class it only affects hose with a 3.5 million dollar estate and greater. its meant to stabiize the distribution of wealth, to keep america healthy.
@boorens18 Laughing my mother fucking ass off....im gonna now make you eat your own words nut sac,,,,"Quite frankly you demonstrate over and over you have a very simple minded understanding of economoics"
no sir quite frankly you dont have any clue as to how america works but make it apparent how you feel it should.....
"its meant to stabiize the distribution of wealth, to keep america healthy."
America isnt and shouldnt be about redistribution of wealth.
@boorens18 ooo yeah and lets keep fresh one thing through all of this too the person who died who left money to his loved ones im sure would much rather see his loved ones get his estate rather then the govt swoop in and take OVER HALF of his or her lifelong work.....so at the end of the day your saying when you die it is OK for the govt to come in and take over half of your lifelong works.......your insane if you believe that
@aurick7737 Can you please keep your responses to 2 comments maximum? I mean 3/4ths of your comments I could just cut out the rambling and whining. Here is a simple question. Do you even realize that there is HARM done to the country as a whole when the richest keep all their wealth after they die? It is the principles of America that allowed said families to get their wealth, yet you would destroy the economy so that you could keep another 1.5 million? ie you are disguistingly greedy.
@boorens18 I love how you tout the principles of America that allowed these people to get rich then completely in every way go against american principle.....so since you wanted to be a know it all and tout american principles being a Canadian your pretty arrogant to act like you know a thing about american principles cause it quite apparent you dont. Name me the part of the constitution that says when you die its better for the nation if you just give over half your estate to the govt.....
@boorens18 its also quite apparent you are a firm believer up there in canada that the govt knows better how to make your choices than you do and knows better how to spend your money than you do....well thats good and dandy healthcare in your country is failing as it is in europe but have fun with your ridiculous taxes and sheep ways of just handing your money over to a governing body that could give a shit less about you... all you are is a line item on a budget if that.....
@aurick7737 O and one last thing mr canadien who knows everything about america.....i was going to let you get away with your outright lie of this made up balancing act thing about the reasoning for the death tax and why we need it..here is the real truth: the death tax was a "temporary" tax created by one of america most liberal presidents with the SOLE intentions of having it pay for world war 1. im pretty sure we paid for that..and dont come back with some comment about paying for wars now.
@aurick7737 So just to let you know I'm not taking the time to read 7 comments. If you are too thickheaded to learn how to condense your thoughts....well too bad for you. First, Canada's healthcare is fine. The only "crisis" we had was when a lot of baby boomers retired (shortage of doctors) in 2007. Second, Our economy was the fastest to recover from the recession. Yours is STILL failing. The proof is in the pudding, our method is better. you can imitate, or you can flounder. Your choice.
@boorens18 FACTS: your healthcare system is failing and rations! it is no coincidence the largest growing industry in CA is private health insurance. by the way the PM just came to America for surgery.......
secondly i thank you kindly for proving my point....yes our economy is still failing....BECAUSE BIG GOVT ISNT THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
@aurick7737 "The PM just came to America for surgury." Whats your point? You just made my case. That the US doesnt care about the middle class, it only values higher quality service for the rich, at the expense of the poor/middle class. If thats your priorities..well then....you are amoral. Plain and simple. And the growth of the private industry is due to the latest bill MANDATING (not optional) everyone buy from them. (going to lead to even MORE bankruptcy claims due to HC)
@boorens18 and of course you wouldnt take the time to read 7 comments because they prove you wrong in every aspect of the word...see the reason my comments are longer is because unlike you i shred your lies apart with facts and things to back them up rather then spew liberal talking points of failed policies. you have yet to name me one socialist nation that has provided more for the world in innovation and personal liberty yet....still waiting.....
@aurick7737 No, I didnt take time to read them because the VERY first 2 arguments you made were FACTUALLY wrong. Canada's healthcare system is fine, and in fact MUCH more effective than the US's at raising the quality of life for the entire nation on average then the US (which values increased quality at the expense of availability, thus providing for the rich) Again if a socialized healthcare doesnt work...why is EVERY SINGLE other industrialized nation employing it successfully?
@aurick7737 This is what I mean about you not knowing the facts....you just spew repub talking points and dont do research. You thought CA's growth was due to good economics? No you dolt, its due to the healthcare bill mandate. If you dont even know the facts, why should I waste time with you? Well....bit of a rhetorical question there. I shouldnt. Goodbye.
@aurick7737 Apparently you're the one that doesnt know how to read....When did I mention Canada's economic growth. CA doesnt stand for canada numbskull. its California....you know....the very same abbrev. you used when mentioning california's private health insurance? jesus you are so dumb you dont even recognise what you JUST said.....holy cow...how do you even have a discussion with someone that dumb.
@boorens18 by the way before you continue to be childish and point out what you think are spelling errors and so forth you should check your own sir. recognize has no s in it.......now dont you look foolish for pointing fingers.....
@aurick7737 you complain about spelling errors and think thats what I'm worried about? Lol ok buddy. Good to see your arguments had some merit and you didnt need to try to change the subject something meaningless......oh wait.....
@aurick7737 heres the facts, Canada's health statistics are at or above the G8 average (meaning we are above average inarguably) While the US has the lowest life expectancy, highest infant mortality (substantially so) Yet spends the most per capita, the higheset percentage of GDP devoted to healthcare along with the highest % of gov. revenue spent on health. Also you have the most per-patient doctors. This all suggests a wasteful and disorganized system. Everyone else is doing more with less.
@boorens18 lol the most per patient doctors says the guy who wdmits to rationing and shortages of doctors due to your failed system that provides no real liberty and choice or privacy in care! o and more lies but no problem i prove them wrong....you tout your life expectancy and blah blah blah when the actual facts of your system are quite clear : you have less of a chance of survival if getting cancer and several other major diseases in Canada then you do in America..
@aurick7737 Fact No. 7: People in countries with more government control of health care are highly dissatisfied and believe reform is needed. More than 70 percent of German, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and British adults say their health system needs either "fundamental change" or "complete rebuilding.
it wont let me leave the link so i will send it to your inbox
i encourage you to read the report where i am copying these facts from since it shows you actual fact not your opinion
@aurick7737 F-F-F-FAIL... Pointing out stats on individual illness/ailments like cancer alone DO NOT REPRESENT the quality of healthcare. Ps your fact 7 is a complete lie. Canadians voted that they are either very or extremely statisfied with their healthcare. Again you demonstrate your lact of critical thinking.
heres a SIMPLE question....what do you value more? American lives in general, or rich americans convienence? Which is it?
@boorens18 ok bro your obviously not going to pay attention and even openly admit to dismissing statistics and even go as far as saying that statistics arent a part of critical thinking.....wow....just wow! The fact is this you have a better chance of survival in America for all of those types of diseases then you do anywhere else. And talk all you want but that is the fact and life and death is what counts bud.
@boorens18 you really continue to make things up.....a very telling thing in your country at the moment is that private health care is the fastest growing industry....pretty profound statement of your healthcare system for someone who is already being heavily taxed to want to spend additional money to receive private care where they have a lot more choice and reliability.....and gaspppppp** liberty!
@aurick7737 Heres a rude awakening for you....your healthcare was rated LAST in the G8 despite having the greatest injection of money of all the nations. That is INDISPUTABLE evidence your healthcare fails.....it is NOT as good as the rest of the G8
@aurick7737 This is what I mean, I just checked that link you messaged and they all make the same mistake of hunting for individual stats (or use misleading phrasing such as "do you think healthcare requires changes")
You dont think about what you read...you look for stats to support your position then dont do any critical thinking....Im not going to be an enabler for you....You're retarded, you dont WANT to know the other side. You just want reassurance.....Fine its your country. Fail away
@boorens18 how is do you think healthcare requires changes a misleading statement? i dont want to know the other side??? wierd i have family in southern ontario considering im about 5 seconds from windsor....wierd i have my dads best friend in Winnipeg.....more wierd we have family in saskatoon.......so again you try and paint me to be something im not based solely on your assumptions.........wow.
@aurick7737 Wait so you think Im citing the G8? That doesnt even make sense....the G8 is just a term meant to refer to the 8 super powers. The study was not done by the "G8" you moron....ok that automatically disqualifies your opinion. You can't even follow along, much less contribute. Useless. Anyways lets get back on to the tax issue. I have a quick question for you. Do you think of yourself as a "fiscal conservative?" (feel free to define said title)
@boorens18 "Heres a rude awakening for you....your healthcare was rated LAST in the G8 despite having the greatest injection of money of all the nations. That is INDISPUTABLE evidence your healthcare fails.is NOT as good as the rest of the G8" YOU VERY CLEARLY CITED THE G8. You cant even remember what you posted 2 days ago? Quite obviously you missed the point of dismissing its credibility. The UN also doesnt do a lot of the garbage studies they support and base policy on. see east anglia
@boorens18 anyway back to the tax issue at your request....you said the estae tax was created to "balance" the economy and that is was bad for the economy for the wealthy to keep their wealth and they were greedy anyway so it doesnt matter if you steal there EARNED income from them. Well the death tax was created for the SOLE intent by woodrow wilson to pay for WWI, the fact that you made up your own reason for this tax and had not a clue what it was really for is very telling about your bias.
Aurick, SERIOUSLY condense your comments. ONE comment at a time. MAXIMUM 2, im not going to read them all if your just gonna spew garbage in quantity, rather than quality. To your points, A) its not "earned income" its inherited. Therefore the person has no priviledge to have it untaxed.
B) to "it doesnt affect the economy" I'm going to demolish your view with 2 simple questions. First, do you have any idea how much of a hit the federal budget would take if we remove the estate tax?
@boorens18 To be honest the question was rhetorical as I already know the answer. Removing the estate tax would cost (in conservatively low predictions) over 30 BILLION dollars. Thats enough to single handily pay for the (D-CA) (D-IA) bill to avert the massive teacher layoffs. If you think that removing 30 billion dollars from the budget (in an already fiscally sensitive time) just to stuff the INHERITANCE of the rich is fine....well your a disgusting immoral animal. Sorry thats how it is.
@boorens18 it is earned by the person who earned it and CHOOSES to give it to THEIR family. and by the way it was already taxed multiple times...so i ask you what did the govt do to "earn" this money....and yes i do know the "hit" it would take ...less than 1% of the revenue collected comes from this tax so try again bud.....o by the way are you ever going to address the fact this tax was created for the sole purpose of paying for ww1 or you gonna keep ignoring that...i know you libs hate facts
@aurick7737 Yes, you are free to 'choose to give it to someone" however, that doesnt make it exempt from taxes. It doesnt matter how many times it was taxed. it is a transaction no? Your logic could be applied to any scenario. Why should we pay any taxes if the dollar at some point was taxed? Referring to it as "less than 1%" is completely dishonest and pathetic of you to try. That is still a MAAAAAASSSIVE amount of money. Answering your WW1 comment in next comment.
Your claim that the estate tax was first meant to pay for WW1 is a COMPLETE AND BALD-FACED LIE. let me guess, got that from a republican source? The estate tax was first implemented in1916 because at the time the "consumption tax" was most heavily levied against the poor (least able to pay). This was designed to balance it out. Now the wealthy are buying politicians to reverse this so they dont have to pay it. (research who started the "death tax campaign" if you dont believe me.
@boorens18 wrong it wasnt first implemented in 1916........that was actually the 4th time it was implemented....the first was in 1797 to pay for an undeclared war on france the 2nd was in 1862 to collect revenue for the civil war the 3rd was in 1898 to pay for spanish american war and the fourth in 1916 to collect revenue for ww1 soooooo what were you saying about it first being implemented in 1916? you very obvisouly have no idea what your talking about.
@aurick7737 In other words aurick. The estate tax equalizes the burden of taxes, as at the time, the poor were the ones paying the most. kinda backwards dont you think? This is coming DIRECTLY from the US treasury's "History of the US tax system" page. How can I take you seriously when you lie and misrepresent everything? Now that I answered your question. Answer mine. How do you plan to repair a 30 billion dollar blast in the budget all so the rich can have a bit more money?
@boorens18 save the rich money and oooo the poor were paying most of the taxes....lmao...you seriously make things up as you go along...everyone including most liberals know full well that the top2% of earners have and always will pay the majority of tax revenue....o and how do i propose we repair a 30billion dollar blast in the budget.....ggaaaaaaaaaasppppp ...here is an idea... CUT SPENDING !!!!
The top 2% dont pay anywhere NEAR 50% of all collected tax revenue. According to the most recent published results done by the CBO the top 2% pay a bit more than 28% of the total taxes collected (cited from factcheck dot o r g) yet the top ONE (not 2) percent hold over 43% of the total financial worth. There is a gross disparity here. I'll make you a deal. If you would tax the rich equally, Id gladly abolish estate tax, as it would be redundant. But you wont. ur a liar after all.
@aurick7737 Lets Recap. You've LIED about the justifications for the estate tax (claiming it was to fund war, despite the Fed. tres. website evidence I cited. You LIED about the % tax paid by the rich. You've attempted to change topics by citing past estate tax, which are irrelevant. Your track record for honesty is disgusting. You disingenuously imply that the taxes paid by the rich is overburdensome (ignoring the % of total wealth they actually have). Why should I continue talking to you
@boorens18 are you kidding? I lied about the justification of the estate tax yet i copied and pasted this info directly from house.gov. you keep saying this garbage about this tax was meant to balance and blah blah blah yet have offered ZERO evidence to support your statement, nstead just claim in came from the treasury, but offer no specific numbers or sources just your whiny garbage..
@boorens18 i on the other hand provided you with a detailed history of the MULTIPLE estate taxes this country has had over the years including dates of enactment as well as repeal and coincidently all where used to generate funds for war but someone you say that is a lie when it couldnt be any clearer.
@boorens18 "According to the most recent published results done by the CBO the top 2% pay a bit more than 28% of the total taxes collected " actually what it says is the top 1% pay 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say...and recent ...wierd it says on fact check . o r g that that was for the year 2005 so again you lied flat out. it is 1% paying 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say...nice try though yet you say i have a bad track record for honesty....wierd
@aurick7737 LOL i love how you completely ignore my points against you. You didnt even TRY to counter my calling you out on claiming that the top 2% pay >50% of all taxes collected.. Secondly AGAIN you lie the published results are from 2007 not 2005 and are the most recent results. AGAIN you lie as the 40% you claim DO pay taxes, just not FEDERAL INCOME TAX. Im not interesting in humoring you. Anyone reading this convo already knows ur full of it. You lie without conscience
@boorens18 you must be kidding or you cant read, never once did i say the top 2% pay 50 % of taxes again you pulled that out of the sky, you also obviously cant read because i did in fact 2 days ago write you a post about your own stepping over words. you tried saying and lying might i add that the top 2% paid 28% when in fact the top 1 percent pay 28% and you just dont know how to read because i went to the factcheck . o r g just like you said...it very clealy stats 1% pays 28% scroll down fag
SINCE YOU CANT READ ILL REPOST "According to the most recent published results done by the CBO the top 2% pay a bit more than 28% of the total taxes collected " actually what it says is the top 1% pay 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say.and recent .wierd it says on fact check . o r g that that was for the year 2005 so again you lied flat out. it is 1% paying 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say...nice try though yet you say i have a bad track record for honesty..wierd
@boorens18 o and by the way if you really want to get down to it, the top 5% pay over 60% of revenue..keep lying though its super awesome talking to a Canadian who arrogantly thinks he knows more about my country then i do.....dude your a SHEEP you live in a country that you allow to make your decisions for you..baah bahh the govt is not the solution to your problem the govt is the problem , need some money get a fuckin job and work and quit lookin for a handout IM SICK OF SOCIALIST FAGGOTS
@aurick7737 I never said that 60% of the taxes wasnt paid by the top 5% Again you lie again and again. Stop talking to me I dont care about your opinions. You're a pathological liar. Period. Secondly apparently I do know more about your country then u. You cant even get the facts straight. As for "socialist faggots" You live in a mixed system you retard. God....learn your countries systems before you criticize.
@boorens18 your right i know you didnt say that .... i did....still you fail at reading though. it is literally one post below your last in my very first sentence....seriously your dumb. And no i dont live in a mixed system we live in a representative republic and have since inception. again...you fail
@boorens18 you have yet to address your lies instead make more things up that i proove wrong with your own words and then call me a liar.....lol this is fun!
Buffett owns life insurance companies that rely on the death tax in order to sell their estate-planning businesses. Buffett made about a billion dollars off of the Wall Street bailout by investing in Goldman Sachs on the assumption Uncle Sam would bail it out. He also is planning investments in ethanol giant ADM and government-contracting leviathan General Dynamics. If your businesses’ revenue comes from the U.S. Treasury, of course you want more wealth.
@boorens18 o and by the way i never once said the taxes paid by rich are overburdensome as you tried to put words in my mouth i never once said. and if you really think citing the history of the estate tax that lead up to its 4th implementation not the first like you claim is irrelavant then you are dumb and ignore history due to the fact it doesnt fit your narrative. the history of a tax this country has seen 4 different times is very relevant to its current form.......
@boorens18 and quite saying you cited evidence from the treasury when you didnt you made up some babble about some tax meant to balance when in fact in 1918 the lowest rate was 6% and the highest rate was 70%...and somehow you say the poor were paying more in taxes. i guess you also ignore the absolute un refutable fact that over 40% of Americans homes dont pay ANY taxes.
@aurick7737 Seeing as your IQ is below the level needed to operate google, here is a detailed explanation to find my citation for the treasury website and explanation behind the justification of the estate tax.
-Google "history of the US estate tax"
-click the second link (US Treasury page)
-look at the question "I want to know the origin of the fed. estate tax"
-comprehend being disproved in your claim that the estate tax was levied to pay for war. DONE. OVER. you've been exposed.
@boorens18 you talk about not taking people serious yet you just tried telling me "the estate tax was first implemented in1916 because at the time the "consumption tax" was most heavily levied against the poor (least able to pay). This was designed to balance it out." made up and pulled out of the sky yet you claim to be credible....
@boorens18 A stamp tax was imposed on wills and estates in 1797, to help collect funds for the Undeclared War with France, and repealed in 1802. In 1862, an inheritance tax with rates of 0.75% to 5% was imposed to collect funds for the Civil War, and was repealed in 1870. In 1898 an estate tax with a top rate of 15% was imposed on all assets above $1 million to collect funds for the Spanish-American war, and was repealed in 1902
@boorens18 Fact No. 1: Americans have better survival rates than Europeans for common cancers....Fact No. 2: Americans have lower cancer mortality rates than Canadians.[2] Breast cancer mortality is 9 percent higher, prostate cancer is 184 percent higher and colon cancer mortality among men is about 10 percent higher than in the United States.......Fact No. 4: Americans have better access to preventive cancer screening than Canadians. all from national policy research center by the way
@boorens18 and here is the facts: my father who lives in detroit who ate too much got fat and had a gastric bypass in november 2005.....his best friend in winnipeg needs the same gastric bypass because of medical issues unrelated to his own negligence and he is still waiting 5 years later....if you can call that a success anyway you are insane....all it does it prove the govt does not know how to better manage than private sector no wonder private insurance is such a growing trend up there
@boorens18 i have a very firm grasp on economics. where you believe the govt is the greatest thing and knows how to spend your money then you do.....i believe that i know how to spend my money better then the govt does because they obviously suck at it....see the postal service etc etc but for some strange reason you advocate high taxes, big govt even though they prove time and again they miserably fail when compared to efficiency and productivity in a freemarket private sector so try again bud
@aurick7737 well damn man i wish i would have saw your page earlier...i know realize how you are such an advocate of high taxes....you are from canada! home of the rationed healthcare and ultra high taxes! woooo hoooo!
here we go. this is a much better speech on the death tax than i have been hearing. people dont need to listen to how bad the estate tax is. they need to UNDERSTAND how bad it is. the best way to do that is with numbers and figures. like explaining that the death tax contributes less than 1% to federal revenues and studies have explained how it is completly worthless and hurts the economy
The tax only applies to estates over 5 million dollars

@boorens18 your an absolute SICK clown if you actaully believe the govt is entitled to more of your lifelong already taxed income you were smart enough to save then you are.....are you kidding me....they put in no risk already tax the shit out of you, and your smart enough and hardworking enough to save money to pass on to your family to give them a better life butt noooooooooooo the govt swoops in and says they are entitled to more of that money than you are......ITS SICK AND YOUR SICK
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Good to see the oppposition doesnt even do their homework. The "death tax" only affects MULTIMILLION DOLLAR ESTATES. Omg is a multi-million dollar freebie not enough for you? You greedy fat suckled pig you do make me sick. Seriously isn't it the republicans who always whine "equal opportunity under capitalism?" This is about greed and nothing more. Once a family member acquires hard earned wealth, the greedy family wants to be able to hoard it. How bout you earn it yourself?
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 greeedy aer you fucking kidding me....kinda like greedy on behalf of a greedy govt who taxed you on the money already mulitple times and you worked hard enough to pass it along to your family but nooooooo the GREEEDY govt thinks they are entitled to more of your already taxed money then you are....as for earning it on your own do you have any idea the worth of even a small farm....do you have nay idea what america is about.....
aurick7737 1 year ago
ITS CALLED CHOICE YOU FUCKIN SCUMBAG
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 You DIDNT earn it. Thats precisely the point. The person who died did. Second, you need to pay attention to the HARM it doesn. Gov doesnt just take money for no reason. Its not like the gov gets to line their pockets with it. No gov. officials get their money from LOBBYISTS. Corporations. And EXTREMELY wealthy individuals. If you don't employ a tax, the wealth gets ever more concentrated (wealth buys more) And that hurts the country as a whole. Look at Americas Dist. of wealth
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 uhhhhh hey asshole again the person who died did earn it and proabbly worked hard to earn it and specifically having in mind to leave something to his family.....so when they die it is their choice to whom that money or estate goes to and it is none of the govts business who or where or how much goes to whoever because bottom line it is already taxed income they were smart enough to save....the govt has zero right to a dime of that money it isnt their money.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 God I can't believe I have to explain this but here goes. A country needs money so the collective must contribute to mutually benefit. Taxes are unpleasant but neccessary. As it stands, the wealthiest pay the LEAST percentage of taxes despite the top 5 wealthiest having over 50% of the countries wealth (bad 4 the economy). The "death tax" is meant to offset this. That is why the tax only applies to the wealthiest. Basically you are saying, screw the country 1.5 milion isnt enough.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 your a dumbass for real dude if you really knew what you were talking about with all this offset and balance shit that not a single person at my university employer(federal govt) couldnt hear without laughing. in fact what i found out is the money taken in is less than 2% of our income and in fact does absolutly nothing since over 90% of the revenue taken in by this tax goes to supporting the division of the irs that is responsible for overseeing it. so take your lies elsewhere.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 i love how you cry about the rich having it easy on taxes and its so unfair.....boo hoooo first of all most poor people do not pay taxes at all, 2nd where did you get these garbage numbers...here is actual factual numbers from the IRS (The top 5% of earners pay 53.25%) (The top 10% of earners pay 64.89%) (The top 50% of earners pay 96%) The top 10% of mean awful rich people account for almost 3/4 of all govt revenue!
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Quite frankly you demonstrate over and over you have a very simple minded understanding of economoics. You've been so distracted by rightwing talking points, you missed the purpose of the tax. Politicis isnt about right vs left anymore, Its about Corporations vs people. Again this doesnt affect any of middle class it only affects hose with a 3.5 million dollar estate and greater. its meant to stabiize the distribution of wealth, to keep america healthy.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 Laughing my mother fucking ass off....im gonna now make you eat your own words nut sac,,,,"Quite frankly you demonstrate over and over you have a very simple minded understanding of economoics"
no sir quite frankly you dont have any clue as to how america works but make it apparent how you feel it should.....
"its meant to stabiize the distribution of wealth, to keep america healthy."
America isnt and shouldnt be about redistribution of wealth.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 ooo yeah and lets keep fresh one thing through all of this too the person who died who left money to his loved ones im sure would much rather see his loved ones get his estate rather then the govt swoop in and take OVER HALF of his or her lifelong work.....so at the end of the day your saying when you die it is OK for the govt to come in and take over half of your lifelong works.......your insane if you believe that
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Can you please keep your responses to 2 comments maximum? I mean 3/4ths of your comments I could just cut out the rambling and whining. Here is a simple question. Do you even realize that there is HARM done to the country as a whole when the richest keep all their wealth after they die? It is the principles of America that allowed said families to get their wealth, yet you would destroy the economy so that you could keep another 1.5 million? ie you are disguistingly greedy.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 I love how you tout the principles of America that allowed these people to get rich then completely in every way go against american principle.....so since you wanted to be a know it all and tout american principles being a Canadian your pretty arrogant to act like you know a thing about american principles cause it quite apparent you dont. Name me the part of the constitution that says when you die its better for the nation if you just give over half your estate to the govt.....
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 its also quite apparent you are a firm believer up there in canada that the govt knows better how to make your choices than you do and knows better how to spend your money than you do....well thats good and dandy healthcare in your country is failing as it is in europe but have fun with your ridiculous taxes and sheep ways of just handing your money over to a governing body that could give a shit less about you... all you are is a line item on a budget if that.....
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 O and one last thing mr canadien who knows everything about america.....i was going to let you get away with your outright lie of this made up balancing act thing about the reasoning for the death tax and why we need it..here is the real truth: the death tax was a "temporary" tax created by one of america most liberal presidents with the SOLE intentions of having it pay for world war 1. im pretty sure we paid for that..and dont come back with some comment about paying for wars now.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 So just to let you know I'm not taking the time to read 7 comments. If you are too thickheaded to learn how to condense your thoughts....well too bad for you. First, Canada's healthcare is fine. The only "crisis" we had was when a lot of baby boomers retired (shortage of doctors) in 2007. Second, Our economy was the fastest to recover from the recession. Yours is STILL failing. The proof is in the pudding, our method is better. you can imitate, or you can flounder. Your choice.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 FACTS: your healthcare system is failing and rations! it is no coincidence the largest growing industry in CA is private health insurance. by the way the PM just came to America for surgery.......
secondly i thank you kindly for proving my point....yes our economy is still failing....BECAUSE BIG GOVT ISNT THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 "The PM just came to America for surgury." Whats your point? You just made my case. That the US doesnt care about the middle class, it only values higher quality service for the rich, at the expense of the poor/middle class. If thats your priorities..well then....you are amoral. Plain and simple. And the growth of the private industry is due to the latest bill MANDATING (not optional) everyone buy from them. (going to lead to even MORE bankruptcy claims due to HC)
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 and of course you wouldnt take the time to read 7 comments because they prove you wrong in every aspect of the word...see the reason my comments are longer is because unlike you i shred your lies apart with facts and things to back them up rather then spew liberal talking points of failed policies. you have yet to name me one socialist nation that has provided more for the world in innovation and personal liberty yet....still waiting.....
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 No, I didnt take time to read them because the VERY first 2 arguments you made were FACTUALLY wrong. Canada's healthcare system is fine, and in fact MUCH more effective than the US's at raising the quality of life for the entire nation on average then the US (which values increased quality at the expense of availability, thus providing for the rich) Again if a socialized healthcare doesnt work...why is EVERY SINGLE other industrialized nation employing it successfully?
boorens18 1 year ago
@aurick7737 This is what I mean about you not knowing the facts....you just spew repub talking points and dont do research. You thought CA's growth was due to good economics? No you dolt, its due to the healthcare bill mandate. If you dont even know the facts, why should I waste time with you? Well....bit of a rhetorical question there. I shouldnt. Goodbye.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 no you just dont know how to read...never once did i mention anything about Canadian economic growth.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Apparently you're the one that doesnt know how to read....When did I mention Canada's economic growth. CA doesnt stand for canada numbskull. its California....you know....the very same abbrev. you used when mentioning california's private health insurance? jesus you are so dumb you dont even recognise what you JUST said.....holy cow...how do you even have a discussion with someone that dumb.

@aurick7737 you complain about spelling errors and think thats what I'm worried about? Lol ok buddy. Good to see your arguments had some merit and you didnt need to try to change the subject something meaningless......oh wait.....
boorens18 1 year ago
@aurick7737 heres the facts, Canada's health statistics are at or above the G8 average (meaning we are above average inarguably) While the US has the lowest life expectancy, highest infant mortality (substantially so) Yet spends the most per capita, the higheset percentage of GDP devoted to healthcare along with the highest % of gov. revenue spent on health. Also you have the most per-patient doctors. This all suggests a wasteful and disorganized system. Everyone else is doing more with less.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 lol the most per patient doctors says the guy who wdmits to rationing and shortages of doctors due to your failed system that provides no real liberty and choice or privacy in care! o and more lies but no problem i prove them wrong....you tout your life expectancy and blah blah blah when the actual facts of your system are quite clear : you have less of a chance of survival if getting cancer and several other major diseases in Canada then you do in America..
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Fact No. 7: People in countries with more government control of health care are highly dissatisfied and believe reform is needed. More than 70 percent of German, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and British adults say their health system needs either "fundamental change" or "complete rebuilding.
it wont let me leave the link so i will send it to your inbox
i encourage you to read the report where i am copying these facts from since it shows you actual fact not your opinion
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 F-F-F-FAIL... Pointing out stats on individual illness/ailments like cancer alone DO NOT REPRESENT the quality of healthcare. Ps your fact 7 is a complete lie. Canadians voted that they are either very or extremely statisfied with their healthcare. Again you demonstrate your lact of critical thinking.
heres a SIMPLE question....what do you value more? American lives in general, or rich americans convienence? Which is it?
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 ok bro your obviously not going to pay attention and even openly admit to dismissing statistics and even go as far as saying that statistics arent a part of critical thinking.....wow....just wow! The fact is this you have a better chance of survival in America for all of those types of diseases then you do anywhere else. And talk all you want but that is the fact and life and death is what counts bud.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 you really continue to make things up.....a very telling thing in your country at the moment is that private health care is the fastest growing industry....pretty profound statement of your healthcare system for someone who is already being heavily taxed to want to spend additional money to receive private care where they have a lot more choice and reliability.....and gaspppppp** liberty!
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Heres a rude awakening for you....your healthcare was rated LAST in the G8 despite having the greatest injection of money of all the nations. That is INDISPUTABLE evidence your healthcare fails.....it is NOT as good as the rest of the G8
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 right right cause the g8 is super credible on so many issues, right right the EU is super credible tooo... sois the UN
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 This is what I mean, I just checked that link you messaged and they all make the same mistake of hunting for individual stats (or use misleading phrasing such as "do you think healthcare requires changes")
You dont think about what you read...you look for stats to support your position then dont do any critical thinking....Im not going to be an enabler for you....You're retarded, you dont WANT to know the other side. You just want reassurance.....Fine its your country. Fail away
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 how is do you think healthcare requires changes a misleading statement? i dont want to know the other side??? wierd i have family in southern ontario considering im about 5 seconds from windsor....wierd i have my dads best friend in Winnipeg.....more wierd we have family in saskatoon.......so again you try and paint me to be something im not based solely on your assumptions.........wow.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Wait so you think Im citing the G8? That doesnt even make sense....the G8 is just a term meant to refer to the 8 super powers. The study was not done by the "G8" you moron....ok that automatically disqualifies your opinion. You can't even follow along, much less contribute. Useless. Anyways lets get back on to the tax issue. I have a quick question for you. Do you think of yourself as a "fiscal conservative?" (feel free to define said title)
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 "Heres a rude awakening for you....your healthcare was rated LAST in the G8 despite having the greatest injection of money of all the nations. That is INDISPUTABLE evidence your healthcare fails.is NOT as good as the rest of the G8" YOU VERY CLEARLY CITED THE G8. You cant even remember what you posted 2 days ago? Quite obviously you missed the point of dismissing its credibility. The UN also doesnt do a lot of the garbage studies they support and base policy on. see east anglia
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 anyway back to the tax issue at your request....you said the estae tax was created to "balance" the economy and that is was bad for the economy for the wealthy to keep their wealth and they were greedy anyway so it doesnt matter if you steal there EARNED income from them. Well the death tax was created for the SOLE intent by woodrow wilson to pay for WWI, the fact that you made up your own reason for this tax and had not a clue what it was really for is very telling about your bias.
aurick7737 1 year ago
Aurick, SERIOUSLY condense your comments. ONE comment at a time. MAXIMUM 2, im not going to read them all if your just gonna spew garbage in quantity, rather than quality. To your points, A) its not "earned income" its inherited. Therefore the person has no priviledge to have it untaxed.
B) to "it doesnt affect the economy" I'm going to demolish your view with 2 simple questions. First, do you have any idea how much of a hit the federal budget would take if we remove the estate tax?
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 To be honest the question was rhetorical as I already know the answer. Removing the estate tax would cost (in conservatively low predictions) over 30 BILLION dollars. Thats enough to single handily pay for the (D-CA) (D-IA) bill to avert the massive teacher layoffs. If you think that removing 30 billion dollars from the budget (in an already fiscally sensitive time) just to stuff the INHERITANCE of the rich is fine....well your a disgusting immoral animal. Sorry thats how it is.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 typo there privilege* hit the D key.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 it is earned by the person who earned it and CHOOSES to give it to THEIR family. and by the way it was already taxed multiple times...so i ask you what did the govt do to "earn" this money....and yes i do know the "hit" it would take ...less than 1% of the revenue collected comes from this tax so try again bud.....o by the way are you ever going to address the fact this tax was created for the sole purpose of paying for ww1 or you gonna keep ignoring that...i know you libs hate facts
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Yes, you are free to 'choose to give it to someone" however, that doesnt make it exempt from taxes. It doesnt matter how many times it was taxed. it is a transaction no? Your logic could be applied to any scenario. Why should we pay any taxes if the dollar at some point was taxed? Referring to it as "less than 1%" is completely dishonest and pathetic of you to try. That is still a MAAAAAASSSIVE amount of money. Answering your WW1 comment in next comment.
boorens18 1 year ago
Your claim that the estate tax was first meant to pay for WW1 is a COMPLETE AND BALD-FACED LIE. let me guess, got that from a republican source? The estate tax was first implemented in1916 because at the time the "consumption tax" was most heavily levied against the poor (least able to pay). This was designed to balance it out. Now the wealthy are buying politicians to reverse this so they dont have to pay it. (research who started the "death tax campaign" if you dont believe me.
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 wrong it wasnt first implemented in 1916........that was actually the 4th time it was implemented....the first was in 1797 to pay for an undeclared war on france the 2nd was in 1862 to collect revenue for the civil war the 3rd was in 1898 to pay for spanish american war and the fourth in 1916 to collect revenue for ww1 soooooo what were you saying about it first being implemented in 1916? you very obvisouly have no idea what your talking about.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 In other words aurick. The estate tax equalizes the burden of taxes, as at the time, the poor were the ones paying the most. kinda backwards dont you think? This is coming DIRECTLY from the US treasury's "History of the US tax system" page. How can I take you seriously when you lie and misrepresent everything? Now that I answered your question. Answer mine. How do you plan to repair a 30 billion dollar blast in the budget all so the rich can have a bit more money?
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 save the rich money and oooo the poor were paying most of the taxes....lmao...you seriously make things up as you go along...everyone including most liberals know full well that the top2% of earners have and always will pay the majority of tax revenue....o and how do i propose we repair a 30billion dollar blast in the budget.....ggaaaaaaaaaasppppp ...here is an idea... CUT SPENDING !!!!
aurick7737 1 year ago
The top 2% dont pay anywhere NEAR 50% of all collected tax revenue. According to the most recent published results done by the CBO the top 2% pay a bit more than 28% of the total taxes collected (cited from factcheck dot o r g) yet the top ONE (not 2) percent hold over 43% of the total financial worth. There is a gross disparity here. I'll make you a deal. If you would tax the rich equally, Id gladly abolish estate tax, as it would be redundant. But you wont. ur a liar after all.
boorens18 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Lets Recap. You've LIED about the justifications for the estate tax (claiming it was to fund war, despite the Fed. tres. website evidence I cited. You LIED about the % tax paid by the rich. You've attempted to change topics by citing past estate tax, which are irrelevant. Your track record for honesty is disgusting. You disingenuously imply that the taxes paid by the rich is overburdensome (ignoring the % of total wealth they actually have). Why should I continue talking to you
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 are you kidding? I lied about the justification of the estate tax yet i copied and pasted this info directly from house.gov. you keep saying this garbage about this tax was meant to balance and blah blah blah yet have offered ZERO evidence to support your statement, nstead just claim in came from the treasury, but offer no specific numbers or sources just your whiny garbage..
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 i on the other hand provided you with a detailed history of the MULTIPLE estate taxes this country has had over the years including dates of enactment as well as repeal and coincidently all where used to generate funds for war but someone you say that is a lie when it couldnt be any clearer.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 "According to the most recent published results done by the CBO the top 2% pay a bit more than 28% of the total taxes collected " actually what it says is the top 1% pay 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say...and recent ...wierd it says on fact check . o r g that that was for the year 2005 so again you lied flat out. it is 1% paying 28% not the top 2 like you tried to lie and say...nice try though yet you say i have a bad track record for honesty....wierd
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 LOL i love how you completely ignore my points against you. You didnt even TRY to counter my calling you out on claiming that the top 2% pay >50% of all taxes collected.. Secondly AGAIN you lie the published results are from 2007 not 2005 and are the most recent results. AGAIN you lie as the 40% you claim DO pay taxes, just not FEDERAL INCOME TAX. Im not interesting in humoring you. Anyone reading this convo already knows ur full of it. You lie without conscience
boorens18 1 year ago
@boorens18 you must be kidding or you cant read, never once did i say the top 2% pay 50 % of taxes again you pulled that out of the sky, you also obviously cant read because i did in fact 2 days ago write you a post about your own stepping over words. you tried saying and lying might i add that the top 2% paid 28% when in fact the top 1 percent pay 28% and you just dont know how to read because i went to the factcheck . o r g just like you said...it very clealy stats 1% pays 28% scroll down fag

@boorens18 o and by the way i never once said the taxes paid by rich are overburdensome as you tried to put words in my mouth i never once said. and if you really think citing the history of the estate tax that lead up to its 4th implementation not the first like you claim is irrelavant then you are dumb and ignore history due to the fact it doesnt fit your narrative. the history of a tax this country has seen 4 different times is very relevant to its current form.......
aurick7737 1 year ago
@boorens18 and quite saying you cited evidence from the treasury when you didnt you made up some babble about some tax meant to balance when in fact in 1918 the lowest rate was 6% and the highest rate was 70%...and somehow you say the poor were paying more in taxes. i guess you also ignore the absolute un refutable fact that over 40% of Americans homes dont pay ANY taxes.
aurick7737 1 year ago
@aurick7737 Seeing as your IQ is below the level needed to operate google, here is a detailed explanation to find my citation for the treasury website and explanation behind the justification of the estate tax.
-Google "history of the US estate tax"
-click the second link (US Treasury page)
-look at the question "I want to know the origin of the fed. estate tax"
-comprehend being disproved in your claim that the estate tax was levied to pay for war. DONE. OVER. you've been exposed.

In 1898 an estate tax with a top rate of 15% was imposed on all assets above $1 million to collect funds for the Spanish-American war, and was repealed in 1902

here we go. this is a much better speech on the death tax than i have been hearing. people dont need to listen to how bad the estate tax is. they need to UNDERSTAND how bad it is. the best way to do that is with numbers and figures. like explaining that the death tax contributes less than 1% to federal revenues and studies have explained how it is completly worthless and hurts the economy
