It showed that the poeple from the republic of Azerbaijan are more similar to caucasian people and the Iranian Azeris to Iranians. Two major presense before turkification in the area is of Iranian and caucasian(Albanian, georgians, Armenians and etc).

There is nothing wrong with that. No nation is better than others. It is never my point. By the way, even physical appearance of the people from different branches of turkic language is also different -sometimes slightly, sometimes significantly.

@essentialpassion well, 1. there are many azerbaijani turks moved to Tehran and surrounding areas from South Azerbaijan (Tabriz, Ardabil, Serab and etc.), so the fact that one is born in Tehran doesn't mean he/she is persian. My relatives moved from Serab to Tehran and their children were born there. It doesn't mean they are persian. 2. at least the song part wasn't humor, she always sings azerbaijani-turkic songs.3.She has accent like all other iranian turks as a result of assimilation.

@essentialpassion I agree to some degree. Recent research proved that Uyghur DNA is completely different from Chinese.In their case, they have it purerer. But in Caucasus everybody has been mixed. I'll tell you something interesting: I read somwhere that recent DNA research revealed that the biggest similarity of DNA in our region is between Azerbaijanian and Armenian peoples' DNAs. It showed that the poeple from the republic of Azerbaijan are more similar to caucasian people and the Iranian Azeris to Iranians. Two major presense before turkification in the area is of Iranian and caucasian(Albanian, georgians, Armenians and etc).

Anyhow, I am not a true persian (in an Achemenians sense) but am culturally and genetically closer to them than asian Turks. I am a proud Iranian and nationalist and thorughout my life shall fight for integrity of this ancient and old land and culture. Azerbaijan, Eastern Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kirqyzystan - these countries do celebrate it and even have series of TV programmes on Novruz days which is displayed in all turkic countries simultaneously. People congratulate each other and share their traditions of celebrating this holiday. You may feel Iranian, you are now actually, BUT you are not persian:).
