I have a very similar gun that I inherited from my grandfather many years ago after he died. It is a little newer than the one shown here, but is still probably 30 to 40 years old. It is amazingly powerful. Sure, you have to pump it up for every shot, so it isn't as fun as the CO2 powered guns, but unlike the CO2 guns, this old air rifle could actually be used to hunt small game with.

My wife recently inherited this exact gun from her dad when he passed. I think his dad was the original owner though. It's crazy that this shit still works. The oldest gun I've got is my grandpa's old .22, a Springfield Model 87A...still kills rabits and opossums 60 years later.

go to a trouble shooting shop. they will tell you what is wrong. then have them take the bad parts out and take the bad parts to a machinist and get new parts made from the machinist and then have the trouble shooter putt it back to gather.

oh, i learned the actual model name for this. technically, it's called a Model 347. it's the grand daddy of the Benjamin 392 and 397 along with the Benjamin Blue Streak/Silver Streak.

looks like an old benjamin, the franklin model, a very early gun made by the benjamin gun company, it was rolled into crosman some time ago, they keep the name and line of guns alive, under the behjamin sheridan group, those sold for around 1.50 new, id say to a collector its priceless, although many wont tell u that because they will want 2 buy it for a song! butt fair value for it is around 1500.00! take care of it and never sell it!

sorry forgot its a model 317, if it has no serial numbers its befor the 1950s, they didnt start numbering them until early 50s, call crosman if it has a serial number they can access the old files and tell u its production yr. in most cases butt remember its old and some files have been lost through the years! sorry benjamin franklin was the companys name befor they droped the franklin, when they merged with sheridan, then rolled into crosman in the 90s my memory was a lil fuzzy! great gun!
