Latinos are not a race. its a culture mixed by other cultures. Hency why some of us are whiter and darker than us. Not all latinos just are tan with black hair and eyes. No. We come in all different shades and characteristics cuz our rots go back to europe, africa and even asia. Therefore, she is a mixed latina of arbaic roots.

Why is everyone so obsessed with her heritage?? According to Wikipedia she is Lebanese on her dad's side (though he was born in America and moved to Colombia at the age of 5) and she is Spanish (Catalan) and Italian on her mother's side. It doesn't specify whether her mother is first generation etc so it could be that her mother was just born in Colombia and has no Colombian blood or that her great grandparents are Spanish/Italian. You'd have to check Wiki's sources to see if they're reliable.

In terms of nationality yes, but not in terms of ethnicity. I was born in the UK but my whole family is Nigerian. I'm British in terms of nationality but ethnicity wise and culturally to an extent I' Nigerian. However, Shakira does seem to embrace Colombian culture so she probably feels more Colombian than anything else which is natural. Culture, nationality, and ethnicity can be very separate.

Um, yes! She may really have no idea! Dance is something you do being taught or you just "do". Stand up..no, no... really, stand up. Now, imagine a string is running from the base of your spine through the top of your head. Now it is being pulled up... see how you stood up straight!? Ever seen anyone twirl a sting or jump rope? Keep the top line taught and twirl the other parts in time to music. I was never taught these things. Anything like the above would have sounded silly in an interview.

Never end it in a preposition is the idea but that one sentence there is one tough one. I refer to the one at the end of the interview where prepositions collide. So "I have a fascination for dancing". Love her messages and good today one of her messages fit me right. It is lovely to see other humans evolve to the level of our own dreams. She made it. We are still trying but do not work hard. But the gear I got from her today was good. Me liiiike!

For those of you who write "I can't do that" or "How does she move like that" This is basic belly dance. There are many instructional DVD's that are sold online for self study. Anyone can learn if they want to. I am teaching myself to belly dance, and I don't want anyone to feel that they "can't". It is for anyone, even men. There are many male belly dancers out there. So, if you would like to be able to do that, then go for it. You won't regret it.
