The story behind this song is that it was never officially released. When assembling the double CD set, we acquired a tape copy of the stereo acetate (the same that this YouTube version was sourced from). We were very anxious to release this & the 2 other tracks on the acetate but the quality was poor. We had EMI search the vaults and amazingly they sent us a CD copy of the master - sadly, the mix they sent didn't unclude the harpsichord. Given the choice, we would have kept it in.
Went to highschool and University with the fellow on the right in the album cover you display, Peter. I know he was the original lead guitar player but he left before they became successful. Do you have any info on him?
Learn something every day..I thought Rick Belanger was the original drummer and lead singer..or was there actually a time when Dean H fronted the group at the very beginning/
I won't ask, thanks for the song. I have a Buffalo Springfield album mixed the same way. If you adjust the balance you lose either vocals or intruments. Stereo !
Never heard this before. I like it, but it's not as good as the Mojo Men hit, which is terrific.
However, "Half Past Midnight" and "Didn't Know The Time" ARE as good as the Mojo Men hit. "Fancy Dancin' Man" too, actually.

Stu, the first drummer is in Vancouver and in hospital. Don't know about Peter.

Stu (pre-dimentia) story as I understand, quit before the 'cola commercial'(?). Before my time, but guessing 63-64.
