he's a one liner comedian and they are very cleverly thought of. he also delivers them very well which is why he is so popular in the uk.

i tried watching brian regan and didn't laugh once. american comedy is very different to british. we have a dry sense of humor, more witty rather than slapstick.

try dylan moran, hes very dry and very witty.

The Chinaman in the family joke was done by Tommy Cooper back in the Seventies. I still generally like Tim Vine, though. He should just resist the temptation to plagiarize.

After reading up on the subject further, it may appear that a malicious lie has been perpetuated regarding Tim Vine using Tommy Cooper material. According to certain blogs and sources, a Vine joke was copied and pasted onto a Cooper blog but the words "Mr Vine" were carelessly left in. I will not remove my previous comment since it serves as an example of how easily we can all be misled by so-called "facts".

Ok, well that was good of you to find out the truth. On the Tim Vine Live Dvd Tim actually says large amounts of his material has been wrongly attributed to different people through the internet. He didn't seem overly bothered by this, using the quote "There is no limit to what one man can achieve as long as he doesn't mind who gets the

credit". He added he could at least take heart from the fact that people found his jokes funny.

Tim Vine is wayyyyy underrated. Wasted on Not Going Out - his real forte is stand up or anything involving just him - because he's got the natural timing and personality to just be funny-as himself and thats the best compliment anyone could wish for really! His two DVDs are the best - both over an hour long each and yet neither duplicating the other. Quite a feat for such rapid fire joke-packed performances really. Like Tommy Cooper you dont care if youve heard them before - theyre still great!
