i understand it's a scatter band, but that's really used for bands that aren't necessarily good... they don't even have uniforms.

If you want regular marching band go to Drum Corp or something. Scatter is just a different style. Go look up this band in the news, they've done some pretty cool stuff/pranks. Beyond legit. (:

seeing this, and Princeton's and other scatter bands...I've decided I cannot stand scatter bands.

being traditional isn't just about "staying in step and being all stiff and no fun." you can look good as a band - because it's MARCHING band. i'm in a traditional band in HS right now and applying for Columbia and PRinceton...and i was looking foward to seeing how the band functions but yeah IDk anymore.

@borgnizzle these bands were created back during the vietnam war and just about every school in the entire country had one. they created these bands cause they didnt didnt want to have anything to do with military stuff. and now these bands are just a tradition and you dont change traditions.
