It's very possible they blended the two voices. My aunt is a musician and she has worked with things like this. They might have used rosario's voice and then just added hints of Daphne. Or they blended then equally to create the voice you hear in the movie. This is very, very possible.

Quiet, you :-/ Daphne's voice is sweet and sexy and rough and edgy and strong and vulnerable. Exactly what a crack whore dancer SHOULD sound like. But I do prefer Adam with Rosario on this particular song. That being said, she sang in a studio, not on stage...

@TheMintyMuffin It says Daphne's name in the Soundtrack booklet, for almost all of Rosario's Songs, & Rob Cavallo implied it in a interview when he said 'Rosario is Mimi, and a fantastic actress, her vocals are not as strong as we would like them to be, but Daphne helped us out with that' & yes, I mean for the movie soundtrack!

I find that...kind of hard to believe :-/ Only because Rosario is an okay to good singer and all they needed to make her sound better was auto-tune. Why bring in Daphne? Also, I have listened to both of them obsessively and they sound nothing alike. Not sure what is going on with this soundtrack booklet...

I saw this original broadway cast on probably the night after the opening night and they were awesome. I haven't seen anyone in the other shows that beats the original cast. And I know there is debate about the best Mimi but I think Daphne is the best, I'm just in love with her raspy yet awesome voice. She's the first Mimi I saw and still my favorite, same with the original Mark, Roger, Angel, Benny and Collins, and of Maurren and Joanne too of course.

exactly! the movie lacks the rawness of the broadway show. Passion and feeling was traded in for over compression and slickness and as a result it just sounds incredibly fake

@2pacbiggie4334 I've seen the play on broadway, and I thought it was pretty bad. I saw it many months after the movie came out, and it seemed they were slacking off. It was like an amateur performance. I was so upset. None of the songs had EMOTION at all. The acting was subpar. Big dissappointment.
