  • That was dirty. The oily way

  • Is this some sort of "friction weld" ?

  • @Assking93 if the engine did actually did reach 10,000 rpm then that means the pistons are doing 334 strokes per second. As you can imagine this requires lubrication to keep cool. With the oil drained friction began to build up which in turn causes expansion of the piston/cylinder walls. However, the pistons being made of alloy expand with heat a lot quicker than the iron cylinder walls creating more friction until its reaches a point where it "welds" itself to the cylinder wall, know as a seizure

  • LMFAO

  • The car literally shat itself at 1:34

  • all the oil was ejected out of the engine then the engine siezed up.

  • awsome,,,, aand almost educational

  • Nice oil change.

  • Great video. Locking up is not as cool as big explosions, but I did enjoy watching this :-)

  • No, the valves did not seem to be sticking. See nothing wrong.

  • That poor engine!

  • Vtech kicksss haha

  • that was cool

  • Uh oh! looks like you have a small oil leak at 0:48

  • i was scared just watching this video

  • You monsters! :(

  • friction is a bitch aint she :P

  • Avtomobilski bati pri 10.000 obratih!

  • "Oh dear" i hope its not broken!

  • poor car ..

    :(

  • You should have plugged the oil passages!

  • how can it lock up, if its not even running, it looked like it has a shit load of oil on it?

  • @FrankieJames7 well after all the oil has been spilt out, theirs no lubrication so in other words the pistons are forced to move through friction which then jams it

  • @FrankieJames7 This is a family car inline 4 cylinder, not a bloody sportsbike that runs at 16,000rpm.

  • @FrankieJames7 The Oil was supposed to go to the valves and into the cylinders but since they reamoved the top if the engine it just splashed straight out of the engine :) and a normal car engine isn't supposed to even go over 6,000 RPM =)

  • OOH no wonder. I was wondering how the car could drive with just an engine block, but it was being pulled.

  • OIL PIMP

  • well, at least we know the oil pump works....

  • hahahahaha this is so gooood

  • that guy sounds a lot like mr bean

  • it's like watching a man walk without the cover of the brain

  • and call it top

  • when are you going to replace topgear

  • And this is why we dont assosiate with british people!

  • @seanno4 lol and that is why people dont associate with you

  • And the engine said; "BLEEAAAAAARGH I AM DED."

  • retarded

  • Recorded with a toaster

  • fucking retards!!

  • Slow motion camera...

  • woah the engine shat itself

  • I think theres an oil leak

  • I don't understand... there's no combustion... how is it moving?

  • @roxxas5

it's being towed by another car, and then they put it in gear = engine spins :)

  • @roxxas5 its in gear, the wheels are moving, so the shafts move, the fly wheel moves, so the crank moves, and the pistons ...

  • @tomtomh5 No, I got that, I was confused about the noise. XD It was the other car apparently.

  • love the fountain of oil that beast pukes up in the air lol

  • 2:28 = <3

  • now put your fingers in there... i dare you

  • i was about to say "10k rpm my ass" , and then "40mph, dump clutch into 1st." lol, Yup, thatd bout do it haha!!

  • At 2:47 I was confused.

  • Is that a cold air intake

  • You should try "unseising" this ngine at higher gear so it won't lock up wheels

  • Comment removed

  • hello colin you are awesome, you are definatlvealy a person!

  • sweet vid subbed

  • lol...what is wrong with you???

  • "Wonder Rover" you say????

  • Well, there go the rod bearings.

  • 240p...we meet again...

  • I wish they would have thrown some more oil in the cylinders to make it last longer

  • yep another dickhead

  • pull it at 70mph and see what happens, this time with a engine that worked withoil and a cilinder head

  • Great video, Thank you.

  • That is Impossible... But is Awesome

  • How did you do that ????

  • Dam who fucking cares if the engine is getting destroyed? Probably was going to the crusher anyways the next day. "Hey lets see what happens when we make the pistons sping 10,000 rpms. The rings were possibly gone in the beginning.

  • then 100 mph :D

  • is that mister bean in the end ?

  • @BuKuTyyy hell ya it was

  • haha tring to get the old rov into f1 eh?

  • .............crazy sick minds..........

  • could u imagine if a rod broke when his face was right over the engine...

  • @honda156mx when the engine wasn't spinning?

  • @honda156mx yep and when it throws the rod in your face that means BITCH PUT ME BACK THE FUCK TOGETHER NOW >.<!

  • lmao

  • you guys blew the head gasket

  • @godseal2 The engine didn't have a head on it to require a gasket. Silly ;D Can't blow what's not on there!

More like he melted the piston rings and fused them to the bore. XD

  • Nice video.. It would be awesome to have a camera that was capable to capture all the movement..

  • @Chaoutzu slow motion cam.....

  • @djmussy18 Yea, thats what I was getting at.. but those are crazy expensive

  • TIME WARP !!

  • I'm sorry, but im fair sure you can do the same thing NOT moving... its pretty legit epic that you can see the pistons and all, but its a shitload safer doing it neutral and not moving at all.... Poor choice on your part doing that, its too fucking dangerous doing that... i've seen engines seize from just doing 30+ Km/h (50+ mph) with little to no oil in it and hearing the body shatter as the crankshaft and pistons snap... Not too bright but its good for a demo i guess

  • @Ravigar I think you got your conversions the wrong way round.

  • @Ravigar I would enjoy watching you try to do this without the car moving... Good luck.

  • 'We tried to free it'

Yeah, that just wasn't going to happen!

  • WTF???? i can see these guys really need gainful employment....

  • "I HOPE ITS NOT BROKEN" hahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

  • this is just an idiotic waste. take care of stuff... just because you have money doesnt mean you have to destroy stuff that could be used or donated

  • @nicksuprabravesfan all in the name of science. how pistons operate in a 4-stroke internal combustion engine! I learned alot.

  • What motivates people to destroy.,? Be the lack of creativity to build on them?Or that to feel so powerless for

demonstrate what they are capable of. in this motivasion Ausensi prefer to destroy it?

  • thanks for the footage I have wondered the same.

as an american, I have also wondered what a mentally disabled englishmen would sound like. thanks for showing me both.

  • OMG THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS, SO AWESOME

  • I want to put something in the piston...

  • furze in german means farts

  • i love vehicles n' it hurts me just watching those pistons burn

  • водибилы!!!!!!

  • NICE TOUCH LEAVING THE OIL IN IT........... GOOD TIMES

  • brilliant idea man. It'd be great to see the gearbox work, that the hard one to fully understand.

  • I dont understand how the pistons move with half the engine missing

  • @IronPump89 Because tires are spinning the gearbox which spins pistons. To do that you don't need more than half of the engine.

  • Fan-freakin-tastic!

  • at least the head gasket didn't go.

  • man, so many of you ppl don't get what this vid was about! it is for educational purposes basically; to know what a piston at 10k rpm might look like. the fact the wheels are turning the engine is irrelevant. what kind of engine it is is irrelevant. any (piston) engine will look the same at 10k rpm. what was important was seeing the actual speed of the piston. some of you need to listen to what he says in the beginning of the vid.

  • Would you do this test with a Bugatti Veyron SS? That'd be interesting to watch. :D

  • buncha fucking idiots, I wish I had thought of that LOL

  • hahah this made me laugh

  • Why?!

  • i really enjoy the first 33 seconds lol

  • still lasted longer than most rovers

  • @1x1pur31x1 only cuz it had no head gasget haha

  • thanks mate, i have never in my life seen a video like this

  • this could've led to some serious injury, at least get proper equipment to film this stuff... this was stupid, not original

  • How is that engine running without it's front head? EFI or carbureted you still have a firing order... I'm baffled to be honest..

  • @vortex2450 They are pulling the car with a rope and the transmission is forcing the engine to turn.

  • @vortex2450 Is that a joke? The car wheels are running it.

  • idiots.

  • And everyone calls us "Yanks" crazy. I think this proves that there are "rednecks" everwhere. Thanks for tha laughs.

  • I feel sorry for any motorcyclists who had to follow that oils slick.

  • wow better then my last rover. looks like it works better too

  • love the video mate, thanks.

  • @: Adasiek9595

If you post a video of that car running on it's own power, with the same engine put back together, you'll get much respect from me! NO MACHINE WORK THOUGH; JUST PUT IT BACK TOGETHER & LET IT WHIRL...................

  • awesome, leaving all that oil all over the road for other people to drive on and sling on there cars. very cool video though.

  • Wow :D

  • why didnt u drain the oil first.?

  • Now impress me by fixing it!

  • @GreenPhantom56 its not broken, its like new! :D

  • What I don't understand is how are the pistons moving without air and fuel? I mean the head is off and there are no valves.

  • @njaslayer The car is being towed while the car is in gear.

  • @mrsarcastis13 I see what you mean. Thanks.

  • Hahaha you people sure do know how to have fun! :-D

  • sen o.ç sun yaa :D

  • hahaha genius! your a legend

  • LOL HONDA, NOTHING VALUE WAS LOST. 199 POOR PEASANT ASSBURGERS WAS CUT THE SHIT OUT FROM WRISTS

  • you guy are @&%$#^! stupid that was a wast of an engine

  • Besides that, the motor can rev to infinity without a head. At some stress point the connection rods will fail and shoot motor parts out the weakest link, generally the side of the block. Why don't you dipshits who liked this go type in "how engines work" in the search bar and educate yourself instead of basking in the glory of destruction. No wonder people can't fix their own cars these days.

  • @Datsmo633 im not going to retype my comment so the motor in this video could not rev to infinity without the heads i highly dount it would make it past 18k for a more detailed response to this read the other comment i posted on this video

  • You see, this is why you don't argue on the Internet. Because we run into morons like yourself. If you took half an instant to look at my videos, you might see one regarding installing pistons in a Z24 block. The whole point is they're pissing oil all over while destroying a motor because they wanted to see what it looks like. If we wanted to see how fast your heart could pump blood, would we cut you open and watch as the blood left and the heart stopped? It's fucking clown shoes.

  • @Datsmo633 You arguing on the internet over some stupid shit like this is fucking clown shoes. Just sayin.

  • Comment removed

  • Okay, guess what, it's still not cool. It's fucking dumb. Anyone who has built motors (and I've built 5 with the limited funds I have) can understand what the pistons do. And it is a rotating assembly minus the head. The crankshaft rotates 360 degrees and pushes the piston up and down in a circular motion. Yes they're moving up and down, but moving in a circle also. It's an eccentric, balanced to offset contradicting forces. This video is just irresponsible morons ruining a bottom end.

  • @Datsmo633 Why are you being such a fucking idiot? You sound like you don't really know much about engines and even if you do, so what? If they want to ruin a car engine, is it not their right? Do they owe you money or something? I thought not. Take a pill and calm the fuck down there, Einstein.

  • @Datsmo633 You're absolutely right. They totally ignored the amazing performance potential of the Rover 200 in favor of creating a nifty visual aid.

You've built motors? Neat. Have you ever SEEN the pistons moving at their operating speeds? No, you haven't.

Best I've ever managed is watching the cam spin through an open oil filler.

  • @Datsmo633 for rebuilding engines you dont seem very smart the pistons dont go up in down in a circular the motion the connecting rod does and the piston just goes upward and downward or upstroke downstroke

  • chavs

  • Shut the fuck up all you haters, this guy here just enjoys having a good time.

If your idea of a good time is to log onto youtube, find a video you don't like, then bitch about other peoples methods of having fun, I'm not going to hate you. Just pity you.

Colinfurze... get a cheapo V8 and upload another vid ;-)

  • This is.... wunderbar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahahahhhh

  • I thought it was kinda cool. When else do you get to see a motor function like that.

  • well theres ur problem!

  • WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GET SOOO MUCH OIL!!!! HAHAHAHAHA lol

  • Great video. Isn't it amazing how many people just don't get it and they comment anyway.

  • dumb fucks

  • thats soooo good for your car, it cleans the motor. haha

  • lol, Never laughted so hard for a long time

  • 1:45 - 2:04 is the best

  • @jaldek41 no, 2:22 is the best part

  • @carboneclipse3g yes yes....!

  • i dont understand how is the car able to run ? since a combustion engine makes power from explosions inside. the pistons are pushed down by explosion and deliver force ... without a head the explosion just go into air ... how is it running ... and without the head there wouldnt be any timing so the spark plugs arent even firing at the right time there might not even be any explosion at all .... dont understand ..

  • @jialunjiao That was my first thought, but you gotta realize it's a stick shift and they are pulling it with another car...keep it in neutral and then put it in gear and the rotating wheels are making the motor spin at what it would normally need to spin to make the car go that fast. By the looks of it they must of been dumping it in 1st gear...which is hilarious! I've always wondered what it would look like to see pistons spin that fast.

  • @x357rq oh ok i didnt know that .... makes much more sense now ....

  • @jialunjiao they are towing thecae. the car is not moving by itself.

  • @penna171980 ok ... still a little confused if there was no spark , no combustion , no explosion then why was the motor blew in the end? what they did was just like rotating the crank shaft pully by hand, only at a much faster speed . was the heat from friction ? was the motor blew because of the friction between parts and lack of oil ?

  • @jialunjiao The heat was from friction, yes. They ran it out of oil and the piston was running up and down in the cylinder without any lubrication(oil)And it made a hell of a mess (overheating, locking the engine up etc...) The engine will still rotate when the car is in gear and being towed. They just let go of the clutch while the car was moving.

  • So awesome dude

  • @Datsmo633 But would you not want to hear and see pistons move at a million rpm. The point of this video was for people to grasp what 10k rpm looks like when you tell people a piston goes up and down like 4 times a second no one can really visualize what that looks like.

So you have really shown the lack of intelligence

  • @colinfurze Greetings!! I liked your video. I knew exactly what you were doing when you shot this video. Us motorheads have one time in our life wondered what rotating pistons would look like at any rpm inside of an engine block. I enjoyed it. And I can see over 1,000 people did too. And of course you knew it would lock up eventually without the oil staying inside of the engine. Thanks again. Peace.

  • @colinfurze

And most of the fluid is anitfreeze... lol.

  • @colinfurze Agreed mate the title of the video is to see 'PISTONS @ 10.000RPM' so what did we see?

Pistons going at 10.000RPM, oh shock horror the video's title is the same as the video itself, Datsimo633 why click the video's name/link when you thought it was a stupid thing to do in the first place.

Just another Troll in my opinion go to some other video and try to act like a smartarse...

    BTW great video!!!

  • @colinfurze 4 times a second? That would be 240 rpm... 10,000 rpm is 166 times a second.

  • @Datsmo633

    fuck you:D

  • @Datsmo633 pistons are not a simple rotating assembly...the are moving up and down, and that means that at a certain point the connection points or the rods would exceed their strength to accelerate and decelerate the pistons, and some of the pistons would fly up in the air. thats 1 of the main reasons that limits the engine designers from reaching high rpms at normal engines

  • @Datsmo633 a piston and crank would not be able to move at a million rpm his crank was being pushed just rotating at 10k find out the litre of this motor convert that to ci then convert that to ccs then do more math and you will now how fast that motor can spin before it snaps a rod or throws a piston a piston can only travel 4200feet in 1 minute if you take something that has a 64mm bore and a 54mm stroke its safe rpm would be 9500rpm
