Does anyone know when to change the R.O. filter, I changed my RO filter about a year ago and now I get very little water through the lines (I disconnected the line out of the RO canister) and my pump sounds like it is struggling.
Hey HVACSEO, if you would like, as you seem articulate enough, i can give you his personal phone number so you can call him yourself and relay to us exactly what he has to say about the system. I believe he used to be their manager before quitting and filing a suit against them.
hey, i just want to let you guys know that i spoke to a fella named Tim Perkins, who used to world for ecolloblue. i called him out of the blue (no pun intended ;D) after receiving his phone number several months prior.... he told me that he no longer worked for ecollo blue, and that he was actually suing them, for what exactly? im not too sure. but it had something to do with dishonesty on their part. apparently this machine is made in china, and is of very cheap quality material.
Tim Perkins does not work for the company any longer. He has personal issues that he brought with him to work everyday. Thats the reason he was let go. Also, as for our product, he has a machine and Tim is still a current user and tried to contact us trying to get free filters. For someone that talks badly about our machine and products, he definitely is an ECOLOBLUE WATER DRINKER EVEN TIL THIS DAY!! YOU CANT DENY GREAT WATER!!!
Fluoride is poison and its added to our water supply to kill us!!! I use NON fluoride toothpaste and I'm buying a ECOLOBLUE water from air machine (atmospheric water generator). Your body ingest more fluoride during showering that by drinking, it's hard to remove but can be done using reverse osmosis. Filters made with BONE CHAR and CHARCOAL can remove fluoride. Its a conspiracy by the illumianti and it must be stopped! STOP INGESTING FLUORIDE, DON'T LET THOSE SHIT BAGS KILL YOU!!!!!!!
Does anybody in here own one of these machines, and if so can you give me your opinion. I want to purchase the Ecoloblue 30 but I heard that the tank is made of cheap plastic which releases BPA in the water. I'm not sure if this is true but there are also many other companies that sell these machines. I'm just trying to figure out which machine is the best and healthiest. All correct info would be appreciated. Thanks
I think it would perform quite well. It has all the right filters plus 2 ultraviolet lights for bacteria and a charcoal filtering system as well. You may have to add another fluoride filter but I'm not sure about that. It can dispense water at either 38 - 44 degrees or 195 -200 degrees. we really like that feature. Wish I could produce enough water to use for my shower and laundry.
You can hook these up to your local water source but I'm not sure what the tests would show after that. That would be something I would be interesting in knowing, that is, how well the water filtration system works on regular tap water compared to a relativley inexpensive RO ststem, which usually run about $300 for a decsent one.
hvacseo, my question to you is what city was the tap water source taken from. It appears that this water source ranks much lower than the city water I live in. Also, which bottled water did you use? The only problem I am having with mine unit is that I cannot use it for 6 months of the year because in heating my home, the heater dries out the air below 35% humidity and it stops condensing. I buy distilled from a local water specialty producer and put it in.
in the winter time run a cool mist humidifier, you need about 35% to get 3 gallons a day. i live in toronto, and i love this thing... plus it's in my kitchen, so when i do dishes or cook it shoots the humidity up to 60%, the water taste so good...
Super, you are not going to find any fluoride or mercury in the water because you are puilling the water straight out of the air. The only time you might find fluoride in the air is when you are taking a shower in highly fluoridated water, which is very dangerous, even more than then drinking it, the same with mercury, chloride and all the pharmecuetical drugs they pour into our water source.
No I'm not using the mineral filter. the 3 filters that supplement the RO are all the carbon type filter. Our water tastes so strange. I don't know what to do about it. Our water was tasting amazing at first then it started to get the lemon/metallic taste i mentioned before. Have you heard of this strange taste issue before?
Has anyone with an EcoloBlue 28 found that after about 2 weeks their water starts to taste strange? With my unit the water tastes amazing for the first 2 weeks than a strange Metallic-lemon taste starts to develop after about approx 12 gallons have been produced. I haven't had the unit long enough to know if the taste goes away.
Are you using a mineral filter? You can replace the post-carbon filter with a mineral filter, to add minerals to the water. The issue is that when the machine cycles to keep the water fresh - the "reflux" indicator - it is going to keep pumping minerals into the water because of the filter. As a result, these extra minerals are probably impacting your taste. I would recommend removing the mineral filter and replacing it with the standard post-carbon filter.
it does go away. I've had mine for 18 months. We noticed a strange taste too. After a few months it when away. After we replaced the nozzle filter it return for a bit but then went away. I think if you rinse that nozzle filter out with hot water before installation that taste will go away faster.
Thanks. Yes, the strange taste went away for us as well after 2 months of use. The water now tastes great again. What a strange thing to have happen. It is now time to replace our 3 carbon filters. Rather than replace them all at once, which I think could cause the taste issue again. I am replacing 1 filter per week for 3 weeks. Things are going well now with the unit and I can say I would recommend it to anyone.
-Pull out the bottom “store” tank and fill with water (city water or bottled)
-On the back of the machine, locate the “waste water discharge,” unscrew the cap and remove
the rubber plug.
-Place a drain container next to the “waste water discharge”
-Plug in the machine and turn the power On.
-FILL THE BOTTOM TANK 5 TIMES. All the waste water will be coming out of the waste water discharge so be sure that you have something to catch that and make sure you do not let it over flow
Our test kit did not contain a Fluoride test. However, independent lab tests (organized by the manufacturer) indicate no presence of Fluoride.
Since we are starting with water vapor and the water is being processed through multiple filters including reverse osmosis, it is my opinion that there would be no Fluoride in the water dispensed. Next time we test again, we will include a test for Fluoride.

@gminoza The type of flouride added to our water supply is not going to be found in natural water vapors.
