  • you probably did dislocate you have to work it out (go to a physical therepist) i dislocated mine 3 months ago and it still hurts once it happens once the muscles become loose and eaier for it to happen again

  • i need help, i was at my mixed martial arts gym yesterday and i fell and landed on my knee, i heard it pop twice, my coach said it most likely popped out of place then popped back in, but now its swollen and it hurts to extend it, i dont really know what to do since this is the first time ive had an injury like this... anybody know whats wrong? or what i should do?

  • i thought my kneecaps dislocated themselves a couple of times, but perhaps they only slid out of place then immediately back into place? or is this not possible?

its very painful and i fall to the floor immediately as the entire leg is effectively useless but after 48 hours my leg is back to normal. its happened about 10 times over the past 10 years does anybody know what it is?

  • @1912jackdawson1912 It is recurrent dislocations....tough luck

  • It really does suck painfully! i did mine skateboarding and then worst part is being on crutches and having to go to the hospital weekly to have your knee drained of fluid from the swelling.

  • @junkyturd wow same thing with me

  • @junkyturd you are obviously stupid, i did this a week ago and no swelling at all. (stay off it and ice it)

  • @TukeeKillazz Calling me stupid, seriously!? I am sure its different and the degree of injury for each person is different. So how am i stupid?

  • I don't think my knee is dislocated or broken but I HAVE to have it curved to the right not left (When I lay down) and the bone next to my knee cap hurts really bad :( and I can't even lay flat ! :'( what's wrong with my knee? :(

  • all i did was relocate mines back in place by myselff

  • I dislocated both of my knees, and i popped in my knee cap by myself because no one was around me, i followed the steps in this video thank you.

  • Happened to my cousin, she was screaming like hell

  • I dislocated my knee almost a month ago, but when It was dislocated it was bent. The first time I dislocated it , it was straight. My dad had to put it back in place. Because their was no way they would get me to the car with it still dislocated, anyways I went to the doctor and he said that it would be okay, all I have to do is workout more to make it stronger. My knee feels weird if I make it straight it sort of pops and I'm scared that if I bend it wrong when I take my brace off it will pop

  • i dislocated my knee yesterday but i was lucky because it poped back by itself while they were driving me to the E.R, it was painful i slipped on a patch of gravel and fell down with my leg folded under me i felt my heel touch my back then my leg muscles started twitching when i got up my knee cap was shifted to the left side of my leg, it was a very painful yet interesting feeling

  • all this reading about poping is really hurting me. Has anyone ever been able to recover???????????? and only have this experience once???

  • @tillywashu i popped mine out last year playing football and had surgery a month later, it recently popped out but before i started playing again i had a full recovery.

  • @tillywashu um i ahvent dislocated it in 3months

  • I just dislocated my knee last night: I was merely standing by a billiard table, watching my friends play, when all of a sudden I feel my right knee cap move and then snap back into position. It was horrible, but not as much as when I dislocated for the first time when I was a kid... No one could help me and I had to put my own knee cap into position! Couldn't walk for weeks!

I hope this video will help people to treat more efficiently injuries and help others!

  • Ive dislocated my knee 4 times now, did it yesterday on a mountain walking out from some scottish winter climbing. Hurt alot and sucks - but managed to walk out after putting it back in

  • this is the most painful thing that has ever happened to me. I've done it 3 times, all 3 involving gas and air to put the knee back in. If someone tried to do it without this, I would have passed out...

  • yeah after my knee slided sideways...will it be the same as it was before :(?

I really don't want to let all these sports just like that....

  • will the tendons and stuff ever be the same after they heal in thier way?

  • Ultimately I've found that putting it back in place (almost the exact way this guy described) immediately reduces the pain. However now i have this delightful crunching sound in both knees. So yeah there's an upside and a downside to popping your kneecap back in place. My advice...if it doesn't just slide back in when you straighten your leg get yourself to a doctor to get it professionally replaced. Either way if this is happening to you even if only once get it checked out fast!

  • My kneecaps continually dislocate since the age of 14. There was no trauma leading up to the dislocation it just randomly popped out of place one day. I fell of course and the kneecap was essentially rammed back in place with the force of the fall. Since then it dislocates about once or twice a year, sometimes i can tighten the thigh muscles and stop it sometimes not. I do fear eventually i will require surgery but that prospect terrifies me more than the gnarly pain from the dislocation

  • @2dr4g0n5 same but mines like 1 or twice a week

  • Wow, this video gives bad advice!

I dislocated my kneecap a year ago or so. I'm glad they didn't try to put it back in. If you ask a doctor about it he'll tell you that you should just leave it alone untill a professional can take care of it.

This is because sliding it back in in the wrong way can leave you damaged for life. If done proper, it can get pretty much completely restored. Trying it yourself is just plain stupid. This video is just irresponsible!

  • the worst part is that you are likely to get early stiffening of the joint... i have had 5 dislocations and 1 surgery. I know its gonner pain like a bitch in my 40s :(

  • I dislocated my Patella the begining of this year, one of the worst pains you can feel. Its scary looking at it when its outa place theres like this lil hole type thing where the kneecap use to be. Having it put back in place hurts but only for a second. Therapy sucks. I was put on crutches for 2 monhts. Almost needed surgey too. Now that I finished therapy its OK now but will never b the same.

  • Knee injuries are hard to go away. I broke my knee 3 years ago and till now it still feels super weird and sometimes even painful at nights.

  • I've dislocated my knee 3 times, it isn't fun at all.

  • i had this on a hockey game i got a bodycheck from the right a realy hard one! that guy was a beast holy sh*t but anyway, at that point my left knee just shooted to the left. and i was like "whaaaaaa wtf my knee!" ofcourse i was still moving and i got knocked too the boarding. at that point it went horribly wrong i fellt with the wrong leg on the ground , and it just collapsed,my leg just turned 90 degrees or more sideways!!!! it hurt alot!!!! it happend like 6 months ago now

    my 1st time yay

  • @doncondorshockey what did the doctor say about rehab or abilility to play in future??

  • @RAPMONSTAR he said i wasn't able to play for 1 year .i got gypsum for 7 weeks (depends on what happend to your knee) when you get out of the gyps its realy scary. ur musles are soo week so i needed physio training for about 4-5 weeks.

as soon it was over i got right back on my skates to "try" my knee out and now i have to hockey with a brace for 1 year and its realy anoying because i cant skate as hard as i usualy did.

  • I've dislocated my left knee cap 3 times the first was the most painfull because I tore all the ligaments and it just flopped around under the skin it was nasty :{

  • shave your STUPID CAPTAIN MUSTACHE ''

  • dislocated mine a month ago, hurt like hell, couldn't move at all, I was stuck in a jeep and the paramedics had to try to get me out, while my parents watched me scream in pain.. been in the soft cast this whole time, orthopedist said that if I take it off before I start physio my leg will buckle and it'll probably pop out again. wasn't on crutches or anything, walked out the night I did it, with the brace on.

  • dislocated mine today too, looked mad nasty..

  • @marinos84fins ouch! that sucks!

  • Dislocated mine today at school. Had to go to the ER.

  • @Fairygirl341 i dislocated my kneecap in my scool parking lot cuz i was pushed off of a curb

  • When i poped mine, out it was to hard to even move lol, i tryed as hard as i could but it would move =/. i went to the hospital the the docter had to try twice because it just would move lol, good this i was druged up for it would have hurt A LOT! lol it was out of place for 6-8h and i had a brace or a "soft-cast" on for a week. it's almost beter now but any sideway force and it feels like it's going to go out again. so that susck =/

  • @Remix350 same thing happened to mine keep doing squats and dont play sports for atleast a year

  • Mah friend tore his knee muscle like 2 times already.

  • stay safe lol

  • i dislocated the same knee 2 times in 4 months the first time was in gym i was playing socer and it hurt like hell the second was on the schoool grounds i tryed to pop it back in but the dumb as fuck teacher would dent let me but the good part bout the second time is it dont hurt

  • This happened to me and unknowingly I did the right thing:

When this happens, lay down and straighten you leg and it's bound to return to it's proper place by itself unless it's a terrible dislocation.-

Good luck, I hope it never happens again! :-)

  • does the second time really not hurt? Cos i dislocated my knee 2 weeks ago and im really worried it happens again :| It was horrible :/ Still wearing a leg brace thing.

  • everyone is different. the first time that i dislocated my knee it didnt hurt at all because i was playing softball and my blood was warm. when it popped out, my leg was immediately numb. However, from the second to the seventh time that it has happened to me, it has hurt like hell, and each time it feels worse.

  • weird.....same happened to me......the first time i screamed the second and third time i was like...oh my knees dislocated....pressure but no pain

  • I popped mine out on "of all things" a trampoline. It felt like my knee cap wanted to fall to the back end of my knee.. I reset it my self on the way to the ER and when I was taking xrays, i had to reset it again after the douche xray tech set my knee on a triangle block to take a picture...

  • i dislocated my knee playing softball in P.E the other day. hurt so fucking bad, im 16 and i put it back into place my self,

  • this happened to me and my knee cap was all the way on the side of my leg it looked disgusting and hurt like a bitch!!

  • He needs to do one of these on how to handle that level of porn-stache.

  • I have it happen to me about once a week. it doesnt even hurt any more

  • Does it pop out and go right back in or is it a full blow?I had a full blow at 14,surgery at 15 and major knee surgery at 17.Then at 34 had the cartiledge shaved. Now at 45 it dislocated almost 2 months ago and i still have problems.

  • Mine do either.

I had surgery when I was fifteen as the ligaments around my left knee were so weak-it just kept on shifting or popping out.

And then at 16- I was in accident and my right knee was smashed and got surgery on it.

    I am almost 20 now.

Unfortunately buddy, they say knee problems stick. They are extremly hard to heal completly.

  • You should have an orthopedic surgeon go in and tighten the ligaments up then, chances are this is what was done in the past. I saw the procedure done rather recently on a 14 year old girl actually in the OR.

  • they did to do that

  • I've popped my knees about once or twice a year since 7th grade. I'm now a junior i college. I should probably have surgery, but they just pop out and go right back in and I hurt for a day or two, and then get over it. I'm afraid surgery will make it worse. Both my patellas, when sitting in a chair, shoot off 45 degrees to the outside. Im pretty sure thats abnormal.

  • it has happened to me. I remember once in class the teacher asked me to show my work on the board and they both popped out and the teacher didnt believe me when I started screaming for my knee.

  • i can slide my knee cap aroud ever sence min poped out and when it slides i caint feel it

  • both my knees popped out at the same time and this method HURT LIKE A MOTHER

  • OH MY GOSH!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT!..that really sucks O_O...i just dislocated my right knee on Thursday.

  • how did you do that ive dislocated both knees twice on differnt occasions each

  • Holy crap! Are you serious?! How did that happen?

These methods have worked well for me as they have reduced swelling BIG time. This has been the 2nd time it's happened, same knee.
